That’s so disgusting. Together these company leaders have unprecedented power (much more than they should have) but instead of fighting this administration, they support it.
And no, this is ultimately not good for them. Yes, Trump is easily impressed by hollow compliments and meaningless presents, but he gets upset just as easily. A true lawful administration on the other hand might be annoying with its regulations but it gives you the ability to know what you’re up to and plan ahead for the long run.
Apart from all the other concerns, this behavior is incredibly short-sighted.

I remember that I wanted to subscribe to a German newspaper that advertised 6 months for 99ct or whatever. I wanted to see if the regular pricing after the 6 months was good but I had trouble even finding it and when I finally found it, the different subscription options were so opaque that I truly didn’t understand which plan to pick. In the end I didn’t subscribe. I have no idea why some companies make their offerings so inaccessible.

Lol same here. I wish Imgur stayed a simple image hosting site
- Comment on Is This Social Media? 2 weeks ago:
Which is not fitting because it’s much more social than something as superficial as Instagram - to me at least. Let’s call what we have here social media and the other stuff can be legacy, corporate or ad based social media which describes it much better.

Because one way or the other similar products made it into our mouths before. Shampoo running down your face and some of it enters your mouth is definitely not unusual.

Follow back who you like to follow. Some people might consider it impolite not following them back but I think that’s kinda silly.
I would approve follow requests always when you are following the person. Sometimes someone follows me but does not accept my request to follow them back and that always strikes me as kinda frustrating, especially if I don’t know who that person is.

why I never wanted to exercise even as an adult
Seriously, nothing has ruined exercising as an adult as much as gym class. It took me YEARS after being out of school to finally enjoy running.

I got kinda caught up in Dig Dig Dino but to be honest, I‘m lagging behind in giving the newer games a fair shot since the release of the Switch 2 has distracted me slightly

Yeah and something that is useful for all kinds of situations like circumventing geo-blocking as well. So it’s always a good idea to have a VPN.

I used them on some projects but it feels like copilot is still the best application of the tech and even that is very ummm hit or miss.
Writing whole parts of the application using AI usually led to errors that I needed to debug and coding style and syntax were all over the place. Everything has to be thoroughly reviewed all the time and sometimes the AI codes itself into a dead end and needs to be stopped.
Unfortunately I think this will lead to small businesses vibe coding some kind of solution in AI and then resorting to real people to debug whatever garbage they „coded“ which will create a lot of unpleasant work for devs.

To add to this: The Supreme Court has granted the president immunity from any wrongdoing and Trump has pardoning powers. So Trump or anyone close to him can essentially not be convicted, hence the massive corruption we’re seeing right now.

I recently got the Bravia XR-55A95L probably going through the same thought process as you. You can indeed just skip all the TOS and set it up as a Basic TV.
However: The software is crap. Complete garbage. Random reboots - I already had to reset it once completely because it no longer showed a picture (and then set it up again). Every day it will show you a notification that it’s not connected to the internet DESPITE having networking disabled completely.
I tried to update the TV from USB and it failed every time. I eventually gave in and connected it to the internet to update it only to see that I‘m already on the newest version (which I assume is also why updating from USB failed with a cryptic error).
I never had this much trouble with a device that costs as much as a MacBook or a high end gaming PC and I would’ve already returned if there competition wasn’t even worse.

Can you give a recommendation? I too looked for big displays and found commercial ones to be used as digital billboards but the specs weren’t all that good (no oled, no hdr).

It is because it includes YouTube Music. A really crappy Spotify clone that nobody asked for.

So it ranks higher on social networks that are ad financed. These networks will usually „shadow ban“ content which references illegal things or contains swear words and rank it much lower since advertisers will not wanna put their ads next to it. It’s pathetic.
Also kinda dumb since this post is still about cocaine and whichever ad is next to will still be next to „bad cocaine content“ or whatever.
