Yeah used to be a big fan of his too - Animals, Politics, Extras etc… then he did a Netflix special going on about how you can’t make jokes about anything anymore and ripping on trans people just to get people to react and I was out. IDK what it is with Netflix specials and these comedians complaining about being cancelled despite the fact they’re saying it on the most popular streaming platform in the world and they decide that some lame jokes about trans people is the best way to demonstrate their argument. Fucking weak.
- Comment on Why is gaming becoming so expensive? The answer is found in AI 4 weeks ago:
These days it’s difficult to tell if it’s ragebait or trolling and some people here think things are obvious because we too live in an echo chamber, and some will just downvote and move on if they see something they disagree with or don’t like. I wouldn’t worry so much about downvotes here, you don’t get really buried like on Reddit and it doesnt matter overall (or at all). The Guardian is a very well known centre left newspaper that isn’t run by a large news corp, but that doesnt make it fringe, and tabloids are known for low effort journalism/gossip so it doesnt fit those categories. Either way, I hope you don’t get discouraged from contributing here if you are genuinely adding to the discourse. If you baitin then ya got me.

I feel like there are so many plots that stem from simple miscommunications or a lack of communication between two charatcers which would easily resolve the whole situation.
- Comment on New study: No-alcohol and low-alcohol beers, and dry pubs, are on the rise 3 months ago:
I like drinking beer, not just to get drunk but often as a simple past time. I regularly drink alcohol free beer when I don’t want to consume any alcohol for any number of reasons and these days there a lot of them that are really good and I would prefer to drink that over a soda. I don’t really have much love for alcohol free spirits however if you like the taste and process of making cocktails then it’s probably also a good thing to be able to do that without getting drunk.

There are and I used to use them but they aren’t error-free either or following the style guides I need to adhere to so it’s essentially the same outcome.

I often use it in programming to either layout the unit testsor do something that’s repetitive like create entities or DTOs from schemas. These tasks I can do myself easily but they’re boring and I will also make mistakes. I always have to check every single line and need to correct things, plus have to write one or two detailed prompts to make sure that the correct pattern and style is followed. It saves me a lot of time, but always tries to do more than it should: if it writes tests it will try and run them, and then try and fix them, and then try to change my code which is annoying and I always cancel all of that.
I find AI art and creative writing boring and I only really see these things as a tool to support being more efficient where applicable, and you also have to know what you’re doing, just like using any other tool.

Used to play DOTA like crazy as a kid when it was a custom game on Warcraft 3. When DOTA2 came out as a stand alone I was hyped to relive the experience but I couldn’t really remeber how to play well. First game in I got all-caps screamed at: people wishing my mother never gave birth to me and telling me I should kill myself. I decided that my DOTA experience was best kept as a fond memory.

Hey Sal, sorry for not responding to your other message sooner. I haven’t been active much the last few days but everything seems normal AFAICT. Maybe it was related to that? Thanks for checking in, I really appreciate it.

Exactly this.
Fructose adds to your intake of free (added) sugars. Whole fruit, on the other hand, does not.
Whole fruit contains fibre (roughage), vitamins and minerals, which are good for your overall health. The fibre helps to slow down the speed the fructose is absorbed into your blood stream and can help you feel fuller for longer. This is why it’s better to eat whole fruit, rather than fruit in the form of juice or a smoothie.
Fruit juice and smoothies, on the other hand, have most of the fibre (roughage) removed when they are made and it’s very easy to drink large quantities in a short space of time. This means you could be drinking a lot of extra calories, carbs and sugar.

Yeah that’s 20% of the population of the EU (total population figure of 450 million used). It’s mental that after all of the things that have happened recently, 1 in 5 people still use Xitter and that’s not even excluding babies.
- Comment on Why do news articles and such call the governments of countries/groups of countries after the capital? 1 year ago:
South Africa has three capitals but they have different roles: Pretoria is the executive/administrative capital, and this branch of the government is run by the head of state. The other roles are the legislative (Cape Town) and judicial (Bloemfontein) capitals. I would assume depending on which branch of the government is delivering news they would use the appropriate capital, but it’s most likely to be Pretoria.
Feel free to correct me I am not an expert or South African.
