- Comment on What are some new movies worth watching for someone who likes sci-fi and fantasy 3 days ago:
Define “New.” Like last year or so? For scifi:
Dune 1 & 2
The Wild Robot
Furiosa
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
Ghostbusters Frozen Empire
In that order, more or less. Aliens Romulus is not terrible but there’s a movie with virtually the same plot that’s a lot better called Alien (1979) that you should watch instead.
For fantasy:
Poor Things
Wonka
The Marvels
Poor Things is a real treat. Wonka is a musical. Marvels is superhero fantasy and Sci fi mixed.

Alright, I’ve decided we’re besties now. Good exchange, buddy. Good exchange. :3
Seriously though, I’m smiling.

Actually, it’s the best kind of correct. But hey, don’t let all that butt hurt bother you. I hear there’s a cream for that.
I love that I agreed with you and you STILL felt aggrieved, lol.

From what little I know about horses, almost all your time is spent trying to make sure they don’t kill themselves. I can leave my vechile outside in the cold for weeks at a time and not have to think about it.

I mean you’re not wrong but no matter how small an impact it’s still not ZERO emissions, so the guy you’re replying to is technically correct.

I dug down to get the audio. The girl is saying, “Bentley” in a subuctive voice then tapping or rubbing various parts of the car. Donald says, “Citroën” in duck-speak and then does Donald Duck noises at times.

Agree. Also they cut out enough of the book to make a movie of reasonable length without absolutely butchering the entire point and plot of the book.

There is, and it’s actually kinda cool if a bit simple.
There’s the vaults, the sirens, and the ancient aliens. There’s the unusual planet of Pandora, the different factions, and the corps. There’s all the different characters all with backstory.
So yes, there’s enough material to make a decent movie with. But like so many video game movie adaptations the writer just phones in a generic script without honoring the source material.

For me it was Alice in Wonderland (2010). I really enjoyed the whole “I do six impossible things before breakfast” thing. I was also really drunk when I watched it.

I like The Core but omg it’s objectively terrible. “Unobtanium” is just a buckyball. The random kid drawing in the notebook just for heartstrings. Them welding power connectors right next to each other on the hull so that even IF their nonsense theory was correct they’d only be 0.01% efficient. Oh, and if the core stopped spinning it wouldn’t get the planet roasted anyway.
But hey, it’s a B movie so I give it some slack.
- Comment on DayZ creator reveals a "Kerbal Space Program killer" with kittens and challenges license owners to sue him 2 weeks ago:
I never buy games before reviews but bought KSP2 early access. It was so bad I returned it less than four hours later. I joke they put more effort into the ads than the game itself.
I think what really confused me is that I saw a demo of KSP2 at PAX East several years ago. The game we got looked no different than that demo. I was like, wtf have they been doing all this time?
- Comment on DayZ creator reveals a "Kerbal Space Program killer" with kittens and challenges license owners to sue him 2 weeks ago:
I don’t know about that. KSP has a mod that adds N-Body physics so it’s not some momumental obstacle.

This reminds me of the pumpkin carved with the tip screen… in other words absolutely horrifying.
- Comment on Whatever happened to racing games 3 weeks ago:
It feels like we used to be spoiled for choice and now there’s only a few select titles out. A lot of racing franchises got ruined by micro-transaction garbage. Project Cars decided to go in an entirely different direction with their latest installment and basically ruined the game. Most games no longer support split screen so if you want to race locally with friends you basically only have Mario Kart.
There’s still games though. Forza, Gran Truismo, F1 24, Asseto Corsa, Need For Speed… But even so it feels like something is missing. There’s not a lot to fill in the Wipeout niche, or the Burnout niche. I miss random things like Midtown Madness and Twisted Metal. I really want a good racing combat experience again.

I typically use the fact that there are trees older than 4000 years old based on tree ring data. Or that there are stars in the sky further than 4000 light years away that we can see in the sky.
That usually makes them say something like how their God created an world that was already aged. So I usually counter with the fact that would make their God a lier and deceiver.
Some hold firm and say God did to to test faith. Others back pedal and try to blame it on Satan. That Satan scattered all this false evidence just to make us question the notion that Earth is 4000 years old to make people lose faith in God. And then I have to laugh at how stupid their argument is and how weak their God is.
- Comment on Anon reviews a game on steam 4 weeks ago:
I will say that games aren’t static any more so there are legitimate reasons why this might occur. For instance, I had over 100 hours in a game and then the devs decided they liked money more than their player base so they retroactively added a bunch of micro-transactions to the game. The game had been fully released at this point and they just updated it to milk more money out of their player base.
- Comment on Anon reviews a game on steam 4 weeks ago:
For a laugh, review games on Google Play. The asinine responses you get…
The most ridiculous one was for a pay-to-win bullethell game WITH NO BULLETS. You literally just effortlessly shot at enemies with virtually no way to die. But you could pay stupid sums of money for a better ship which killed enemies faster.
The dev’s response to my review calling their game overpriced and boring? “Join the discord so you can get tips from top players”

The article you didn’t read specifically states that there’s nowhere you can (legally) watch most of this. It’s worse than just trading licenses.

Sega Saturn and Dreamcast also probably factored in. They weren’t nearly as successful as the Genesis. With even established brands floundering it’s no wonder people didn’t think the Playstation would work.
