- Comment on Switch 2 Sales Reportedly Struggled Over The Christmas Period 5 days ago:
I’ve been having a fantastic time with mine. Kirby Air Riders is an excellent sequel to one of my favorite childhood games. Cyberpunk went on an accidental super sale and I was able to get the complete edition for $17 USD. Fortnite doesn’t run like dogshit anymore. The console feels more sturdy and premium compared to Switch 1. An extra charging port on the top makes extended tabletop play possible now.
- Comment on Switch 2 Sales Reportedly Struggled Over The Christmas Period 5 days ago:
“Never discounted” is just factually untrue, though. They never reach Steam-sale levels, sure, but I’m looking at $70 Tears of the Kingdom for $47 USD right now on Woot. I’ve purchased a fair number of Switch 1 games for around $40 in the last year and some (like Mario & Luigi Brothership and Super Mario RPG) went for as low as $25 USD around Black Friday.

- Comment on AI-Induced RAM Crunch Could Push Next PlayStation and Xbox Past 2028 1 week ago:
Microsoft could justify a $1000 console if it can also be used as a full desktop computer. I couldn’t see Sony doing something similar unless they miraculously brought back Linux mode.
But I also wonder if Microsoft will take a legit attempt at salvaging the Xbox brand next generation since they’ve completely blown this one now and are making no steps to remedy it.
- Comment on Why is it called linux phone? 3 months ago:
- Yes, android is technically Linux
- There are forks (Graphene, e, etc) but none approach the popularity of traditional Android so you’ll never find them on phones sold by major retailers/carriers
- Theres not a huge market (or rather, it’s not a huge moneymaker) to develop an android fork that focuses on things like privacy and security. There’s a reason phones come preloaded with Facebook and Candy Crush.

[July 2025] Updates to YouTube Partner Program (YPP) Monetization policies:** In order to monetize as part of the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), YouTube has always required creators to upload “original” and “authentic” content. On July 15, 2025, YouTube is updating our guidelines to better identify mass-produced and repetitious content. This update better reflects what “inauthentic” content looks like today.
So essentially, if you’re going to have a channel of AI garbage, Google wants to ensure you to use their tools to make it.
- Comment on Hesitating getting a Switch 2 (1st game console in 15 years)... 6 months ago:
The screen thing is really overblown. Yes, there are technical analysis that point toward issues. However most people, including myself and several of my friends, don’t notice anything wrong in real life. Maybe if you’re an absolute snob about display tech you’ll notice something is off but that’s it.
- Comment on Krysten Ritter Officially Returning as Jessica Jones for ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 8 months ago:
I thought it was pretty good and I think it’s watchable without seeing the first series. The very beginning and very end has character scenes that will make less sense to you but the middle mostly does its own thing.

Goddamn Felicity in Arrow pissed me off. That show grew to have a lot of problems, but she was an especially terrible part of it.

Because despite the bitching it still has a very respectable user base, at least purely looking at the Steam stats:
- Comment on Is overwatch 2 really that bad? 1 year ago:
It’s a decent game but a terrible one if you are comparing it to the original Overwatch.

I had one too. My ex and I are on great terms. It makes for some fun moments when we can joke about our divorce and make people uncomfortable.

The Nitronic Rush soundtrack is some really awesome techno.
- Comment on So is the global IT crash fixed yet? 1 year ago:
It doesn’t fix those already affected. And affected machines require manual intervention, because they cannot boot up to receive any sort of automatic patch.
- Comment on If you had a drain that you knew was clogged only with hair, could you unclog the drain only using Nair? 1 year ago:
Acids don’t work as well on the substances that contribute to typical household drain clogs compared to bases, which is what Drano is.
When it enters your drain pipes, the sodium hydroxide reacts with fatty acids and proteins from your typical clogging culprits like oils, grease, soap scum, hair, and food particles.
This reaction generates heat, breaks large molecules into smaller ones, and liquefies solid gunk. The extremely high pH enables the sodium hydroxide to saponify fatsand dissolve organic matterthrough chemical decomposition.
Acids simply wouldn‘t have the same cleansing effects on drain clogs. Grease and oils are composed of tough-to-break-down fatty acid chains that resist acidic breakdown. Quoted from here.
