- Comment on Larian CEO Responds to Divinity Gen AI Backlash: 'We Are Neither Releasing a Game With Any AI Components, Nor Are We Looking at Trimming Down Teams to Replace Them With AI' 3 days ago:
They honestly should have expected this given peoples visceral reaction to anything AI. Personally, I have huge problems with AI and refuse to play most games that have used it. I think it’s poisoning every creative industry and replacing important jobs while using vague the excuse that it makes things “easier.” I’m willing to give Larian the benefit of the doubt simply because of their previous games being amazing, but imma wait for the reviews on this one. This game is still going to be in development for another 4 years and none of us will no what’ll happen between then and now, but for now I’ll remain hopefully optimistic
- Comment on ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ Maker Promises ‘Divinity’ Will Be ‘Next Level’ 3 days ago:
With the money they made from BG3 they have the means to make Divinity the best it can possibly be and I couldn’t be happier for them. The first two Divinity games were great, don’t get me wrong, but they were basically low budget when compared to the money they got from Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast to make BG3. I imagine they basically have “fuck you” money now and can do whatever they want. I can’t wait.

Yeah but I just wanna eat cigarettes. They make my mouth all tingly.
- Comment on American exceptionalism 1 week ago:
I mean, nicotine is a nature pesticide made by tobacco plants. It’s kinda the same with capsaicin and humans love that shit. In a life or death situation this would probably be preferable to dying, at least.
Realistically this is probably an older manual and shouldn’t be followed to the letter. You should not be eating less than 2 cigarettes a day.
No, seriously, don’t eat cigarettes.
- Comment on Introverts Rock 1 week ago:
Yeah, as someone that is an introvert and had social anxiety, the mixup does get a little annoying. Being an introvert with social anxiety when growing up was a absolute nightmare in my experience. Especially because I wanted to socialize but couldn’t bring myself to do it. It’s a constant back and forth between “I need alone time” and “I wish I could talk to people” and it made me hate myself for being introverted. Luckily I’ve managed to mostly get over it as I’ve gotten older and now I’m happy with being an introvert. Now I’m in your boat and most people don’t even realize I’m introverted until they get to know me more personally.
- Comment on Fresh dystopian hell from Samsung fridges with ads. 2 weeks ago:
Yeah, but some people didn’t opt into it. I’ve worked on a lot of new construction in my state and they buy these appliances for every new apartment complex they build. I know people could choose a different apartment, but most people don’t have any other option and saying “no” to a decent apartment because of a refrigerator isn’t a luxury people can afford.
- Comment on MAGA, splitting hairs. 4 weeks ago:
I don’t understand how they can even defend it. Best case scenario they are saying that raping women is perfectly fine as long as they’re old enough. I get that with some of the extreme MAGA out there really do believe this kinda shit, but I’m sure bullshit like this is why we see more and more people leaving MAGA every day. It’s no surprise that Republicans are getting absolutely destroyed in almost every election lately when you see what they act like and I feel like that will be their eventual downfall. They see these echo chambers online and believe that is an actual representation of what all republican voters think. A lot of people seem to forget, but most people still sit somewhere in the middle especially outside the internet. There’s still an argument to be had about how ignorant people were when it came to the election last year, but bitching about what already happened is never going to get us moving forward.
- Comment on Trump Accuses Democrats of Sedition, ‘Punishable by Death,’ Over Message to the Military 4 weeks ago:
This is coming from the actual president. The line between this being rhetoric and an actual order is very thin. The only difference is that this was a tweet, and we’ve already seen that can be enough for his people to act.
- Comment on [Coffeezilla] Exposing the Gambling Epidemic 1 month ago:
As someone that absolutely loves gambling and loves going to casinos to waste money with friends, I would never touch any of the shit that gets pushed on us on a daily basis. Unfortunately, a lot people that enjoy gambling do not have the forethought or impulse control to think “maybe I shouldn’t put the slot machine in my pocket” and instead think “you mean I can just do it from my pocket?” I’m not saying this as an insult to those that fall into it and I’m not saying that I’m better than them. There are definitely times I have considered it. Even now I’m fighting the urge to download an app and I don’t even watch sports!
Gambling is being injected into every facet of our lives at this point and it’s genuinely hard, if not impossible, to avoid. People like to think that only stupid people fall for this but that’s not really the truth. Desperate and vulnerable people fall for it. People that want an easy way out of the financial hole that we’ve been put into. Unless you are upper middle class or higher, $100,000 would literally be life changing. And it’s pretty fucked up that they’ve made us all this desperate while they rake in millions of dollars off of us on a daily basis.
- Comment on BattleBit Remastered is surprisingly alive - a huge Operation Overhaul update test arrives in November 2 months ago:
Last I heard there was a massive problem with cheaters and are planning a lot of microtransactions. Like, I’ve heard that in some cases every other lobby has a cheater. Not sure if that’s still an issue, but if it is imma still avoid it. It was definitely fun when it first came out and I hope they do something about the cheaters or already have done something about the cheaters.
- Comment on 2 months ago:
This was probably on the back burning and barely being worked on until they saw if Oblivion Remastered would be successful or not. They’re under Microsoft now and they could get shut down for any and every reason. And especially so if they waste money on developing a game that wouldn’t be profitable.
As much as I hate the idea of remastering all their games instead of just making another fucking game, Fallout 3 is incredibly unplayable on modern PCs. You have to spend 5 hours modding it just to get it to work properly and even then it will still crash 4 times in the span of one day.
- Comment on Following Microsoft's mass layoffs, former Elder Scrolls Online and Blackbird devs form worker-owned studio 2 months ago:
This is just a hunch I have, but I’m pretty sure the reason why so many high-end and very well made indie games are starting to outnumber triple A games is a direct result of layoffs like this. It’s not like all these thousands of people would choose a different career just because they can’t work on one specific company. And if we can get more games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, I’m all for it.
- Comment on Employees regularly paste company secrets into ChatGPT 2 months ago:
So what you are saying is that if I went to ChatGPT and asked super nice what [blank] company secrets were it would know the answer? There would be no way to fact check it, but I do find that incredibly funny.
- Comment on EA CEO says company values will 'remain unchanged' under the new ownership of Saudi Arabia and Jared Kushner's investment firm 2 months ago:
I played it too and I 100% agree. However, I feel like it’s always a good thing to keep in mind is that the best time to play an online shooter is when it first comes out. That way you get to at least have fun before all the casual people move on to other games and the sweaty people are the only ones left. My friends convinced me to try Fortnite just a couple years ago and all that happened was I got stomped every match and was like “this is fun for you guys?” I’ve been playing Overwatch since release and it’s basically impossible to get a match I’d consider “fun,” so to speak. I just wanted to get in on the fun for Battlefield before it turned into all sweats. Now I’d prefer to just avoid it all together.

Not gonna lie, I was pretty stoked for Battlefield 6. Haven’t played one since 3 and all my friends were gonna get it. Guess I’ll just go fuck myself and keeping playing Overwatch or something.

- Comment on Streamer found dead in bed after '10 days of torture and sleep deprivation' 3 months ago:
There are so many questions I have that the article doesn’t answer. Was the torture part of the stream? They vaguely mention “extreme” with zero context on what he actually did, so was it deliberate on his part or did someone do this to him? If this did happen on stream, why did nobody say anything until it was too late? I’m so confused about what this article is trying to convey.

And some people just like ass more than others. I personally think the PS1 aesthetic is charming when done right. But that’s just my opinion, totally fair to disagree.
- Comment on Final Fantasy X programmer doesn’t get why devs want to replicate low-poly PS1 era games. “We worked so hard to avoid warping, but now they say it’s charming” - AUTOMATON WEST 4 months ago:
Nostalgia turns it into an art style and aesthetic. The same thing happened with pixel graphics. We’re going through the ages of video game graphics again as people that grew up with those games are now the ones creating the games. In a few years i bet we’ll start seeing games with the aesthetic of GameCube and the PS2 games.
Personally I think it’s a good thing. When it turns into an aesthetic it never truly dies and it makes the style timeless. We’ll be seeing pixel graphics and PS1 style graphics in games until people get bored of it, which they never will.

- Comment on Reddit’s UK users must now prove they’re 18 to view many types of content 5 months ago:
There are numerous tools already out there for parents to use to monitor and censor what their kids see online. Schools have been using it since the Internet came out and it’s only gotten more robust over the years. Not only that, but kids always figure out a way around this shit and will continue to do so until the end of time because that’s just what they do. The only thing this does is punish everyone and implement more surveillance. And since people are people and kids are kids, there will be workarounds within days even without a VPN.
- Comment on Stardew Valley dethrones Valve classic as Steam’s top-rated game 5 months ago:
That’s what I do too. I’ve bought it for all my friends or have convinced them to get it. Feels like I’m a drug dealer trying to push it on everyone I know lol.
- Comment on Stardew Valley dethrones Valve classic as Steam’s top-rated game 5 months ago:
But at the same time there are plenty of indie devs that sell games for $30 and then have a few $15 DLC on top of that after a few years. Not throwing shade at those other devs, more just saying that the dev for Stardew Valley could have sold DLC and nobody would have questioned it but chose not to. You could be like Stardew Valley and keep the game cheap, free updates, and frequent sales or you could be like Factorio and refuse to ever put your game on sale and up the price every couple of years and come out with a $20 DLC. And I’d be shocked if Stardew Valley has made less money than Factorio in the long run, especially with it being the in number one place right now.
- Comment on Stardew Valley dethrones Valve classic as Steam’s top-rated game 5 months ago:
And I’d say that it is 100% deserved. Stardew Valley is a once in a lifetime kind of game and has one of the best developers you could ask for. Free new content and updates for 10 years and it’s still like $20 and frequently on sale. The developer actually tweeted out once that if he ever charged for new content that he’d want everyone to publicly shame him.
“I swear on the honor of my family name, i will never charge money for a DLC or update for as long as I live. Screencap this and shame me if I ever violate this oath.”
Stardew Valley is the gaming industry at its best and one of the best indie games out there.
