- Comment on Steam games will now need to fully disclose kernel-level anti-cheat on store pages 3 weeks ago:
I feel like they’re doing this because they are going so hard with steam deck. Regardless, good on Valve for doing this.

I like how they censor the “C” in dick so it’s just “DIK”
I found that funnier than the whole rest of it lol
- Comment on Microsoft CEO's pay rises 63% to $73m, despite devastating year for layoffs 4 weeks ago:
Every time a big company lays people off I always try to remember that it’s not because they aren’t making enough money as a company. It’s because the “important” people want more money.
- Comment on Anon is sick 4 weeks ago:
Sorry but I’m not missing rent, going further into debt, or becoming homeless because I’m sick. My landlord doesn’t give a shit if I’m sick and neither does the electric company or my car insurance company. I wanna be a decent person and not get other people sick, but I’m not gonna risk losing everything because I can’t work.
- Comment on Anon is sick 4 weeks ago:
As someone that has to go into work sick all the time, God I wish sick pay was required. I wanna be a decent person and try not to get people sick. But at the same time I live paycheck to paycheck and if I miss too much work oops now I’m fucked.
- Comment on Anon is sick 4 weeks ago:
You wanna know what makes that other guy a Chad? The fact that he doesn’t need to focus on who cares about him when he’s sick. Pity parties are a huge turn off for the majority of people. I think it’s a subconscious reaction that most people have regardless of who the other person is. Unless you are already close to someone, whether family or a close friend, you shouldn’t expect them to feel bad for you. I wouldn’t expect the clerk at a gas station to feel bad for me if I came in late to pick up some NyQuil. But we’ll definitely shoot the shit about how being sick fucking blows.
- Comment on Five flavors 🤤 4 weeks ago:
Five Finger Death Punch is as close as you can possibly get to pop music without leaving the genre of metal completely. I don’t judge people if it’s their jam, I just think they are extremely mediocre at best. It’s no coincidence that the majority of their most popular songs are covers.
But hey, people like what they like.

But also with GOG you can download the installers and play offline. It’s literally one of their big selling points. It’s less convenient than things like steam, but you can do whatever the hell you want when you buy it.
- Comment on My mental health has improved after deleting games that have microtransactions in them 1 month ago:
Until they start charging only money for the battle passes. I never even used 80% of the skins I got on the battle passes anyway. I just wanted them so I didn’t not have them. As someone that has over 2,000 hours in Apex, I’m so glad I jumped ship. The grass was very green on the other side.
- Comment on why do I sweat so much more on leg day at the gym? 1 month ago:
I’m not an expert, but I’d say it’s because your legs are basically half your body. Not only that but most leg exercises require the use of other muscles. Like, if you’re squatting with weights you are using pretty much every major muscle group in your body.
- Comment on My mental health has improved after deleting games that have microtransactions in them 1 month ago:
I cannot tell you how much better my mental health has been since I stopped playing Apex Legends, Overwatch, and Rocket League. I never had anything against the gameplay of these games but the microtransactions and battle passes were just straight up toxic. After a couple weeks you simply don’t give a shit anymore and it’s amazing. I see my roommate playing these games until 3 AM every day because he has to do his daily challenges for 4 different games. He’ll be so pissed off that he can barely speak as he powers through game after game to get them done so he can go to bed. And in hindsight, that’s probably what I used to look like back when I played those games.

I wish I was used to kilos but my American brain was trained on stupid freedom units and I hate it. I’m trying to get better at it, though. The hardest one for me is Celsius and fahrenheit because fahrenheit is so bad it’s hard to convert.
- Comment on Anon loses weight 1 month ago:
Losing weight is not an easy thing to do if you’ve been overweight most of your life. You literally have to fundamentally change everything about your life just to get it done. And it’s a slow process and a commitment that you have to stick to for months or even years. It can really fuck with your motivation when the progress is so slow you could go months and only lose like 10 pounds. I only went from 250 to about 150 but it was one of the hardest things I’ve done and I’ve quit smoking.

- Comment on Starfield's first DLC is one of the worst Bethesda and DLCs of all time 1 month ago:
Same with No Man’s Sky. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but they buckled down and delivered on almost every promise that they failed on back at release. Not only that but every update since the game came out has been for free. Both No Man’s Sky and Cyberpunk are fantastic games, and they were garbage on release. Bethesda has been doing the opposite approach and avoiding feedback from fans since Skyrim came out the first time.
- Comment on Disney Layoffs Underway: Hundreds Of Corporate Staffers Impacted 1 month ago:
Just remember that every time you see this, someone has to go home and tell their family that they don’t have a job anymore. Or someone has to explain to their landlord why rent will be late. These aren’t just statistics, they’re people.
And remember that every time this happens, it’s literally just to save more money for the “important people” and shareholders. And I guarantee we will see a price bump in Disney services before the end of the year for the exact same reason.
- Comment on Modders negate God of War Ragnarök PSN requirement after a brief review bombing 1 month ago:
Well if you didn’t put PSN on a single player game you wouldn’t have this happen. I was gonna buy it day one until I heard. Instead, I’m just focusing on my backlog that’s been piling up and I’ll just get it when it’s on sale
Also remember that PSN isn’t available in all countries. So if you’re in one of those 100+ countries you can’t even play it if you buy it.
- Comment on Anon plays Persona 5 1 month ago:
I highly recommend the game, but I totally get you. I didn’t buy it for years for the exact same reason. Eventually it was on a good sale when I was between games so I got a chance to play it. If you’re an anime fan you will probably love the game. And if you’re not, it may be cringy as fuck on occasion but you’ll probably still love the game after getting sucked in. But if you end up never playing it, that’s totally fine too. I’ve found in life that you don’t need to watch every movie and play every video that are highly praised. I still haven’t played the Mass Effect games even after owning all of them for 5 or so years.
- Comment on Stardew Valley 1.6 is Coming November 4th. 1 month ago:
If you like this genre this game is at the very top. I played Harvest Moon back in the day and this game surpasses it in almost every way. Plus, it’s $20 and goes on sale for less than that very frequently, sometimes as low as $5. It’s not like you’re losing much if you pick it up.
- Comment on Stardew Valley 1.6 is Coming November 4th. 1 month ago:
I don’t know what game you’re playing because I’ve never run into this issue before. I’ve played through year 4 on several different farms and never encountered anything of this magnitude. I’ve been playing this game since day one and have had nothing but positive experiences and so has pretty much everyone else. If minor adjustments to gameplay are enough to classify a game as being in perpetual Early Access, then every single game that is being made today is in perpetual Early Access. In fact in most games you don’t even get the new content with the updates. Also, the game costs $20 it’s not like you’re spending over $100 for the Premium Deluxe Edition Game of the Year Season Pass Preorder Bundle. It’s $20 and goes on sale so frequently you could pick it up for $5 four or five times a year.

Bro, the man’s basically releasing free dlc not updating an early access game. The game was never in early access and all your saves are compatible with the new expansions (I sometimes still play the same farm I’ve had since the game was first released). The game already has more content than any other game in the genre and ConcernedApe is still releasing all updates for free and promised to never charge for anything new added to the game. What is there to complain about when you’re getting free shit where in most games it costs $5 to $10?

It’s honestly pretty amazing to watch in hindsight instead of when they were being released. You can see the progress and it’s pretty cool.

I rewatched it like 10 years back I think? It was always this bad. I remember thinking “wow this animation is way worse than I remember” even back then when I was rewatching it. Nostalgia plays a huge part in my opinion. Like how you’d play games on the PS2 and think to yourself “wow games look so realistic these days” but when you go back they look awful compared to today’s standards.

After never hearing of this before, my initial thought was that it was gonna be live action which would have been super disappointing. But now I’m actually excited (If I still used Netflix, that is)

Holy shit this is a blast from the past. This show was my jam as a kid. The animation has aged horribly, but I’d be so down to watch the whole series again.
- Comment on Frostpunk 2: Review Thread 2 months ago:
I was so worried about this game being bad. Not that I didn’t trust them to make a game as good as the first Frost Punk, but more that some of the expansions for the first game were pretty meh. Anything above a 7 is a great sign as it’s not a game for everyone. The fact that it got a decent amount of 8’s and 9’s is even better. I can’t wait to play it!
… After I beat the first one again.

My favorite one recently is constantly telling me to keep straight to remain on a highway like 7 times before I need to actually get off the highway. Glad I turned off the sound a long time ago otherwise I would have lost my fucking mind.
