If you missed my point so completely to think we are saying the same thing there isn’t much left to say.

If you go out to a protest and aren’t networking then you’re doing it wrong.
- Comment on Using AI to create rage bait 2 weeks ago:
That’s the problem though isn’t it? It’s very easy to lose people by appealing to their confirmation biases and playing up fear responses. The same methodology doesn’t work to pull them out of it because you’re going up stream, and there are literal decades of propaganda that need to be addressed when you’re talking about alternatives.
If you’re this impassioned about making a difference you efforts would be much better spent getting out and joining a organization that focuses on building community networks. You’re just screaming into the void on Facebook.

Go touch grass. No one is changing hearts through internet discourse. You have to actually talk to people.

Dang ol’ man, talkin’ bout that corn, that ol’ 350, yeah man, bu/acre, I tell you what. That 113 day, whoo, dang ol’ sizzler in that sand, you know, like… hot. But man, look at them ears, dang near identical, man, talkin’ bout same, same. And them kernels, man, big and dense, just… just packed, you know? Beauty, man, dang ol’ beauty.

Just make sure to do it at a Indian restaurant, that way if she doesn’t like your tiki tiki you can just pivot to say you were ordering the tiki chicken.

Man I absolutely adored his channel when my kids were toddlers. His love and energy for animals was a straight homage to Steve Irwin.
And then he started doing unboxing videos… haven’t thought of him since.

I watched a video where some crafters used tungsten powder mixed in an epoxy for a really great effect. Get that heavy and metallic look of tungsten but easy to cast like epoxy.

- Comment on UPS drivers won “historic heat protections.” They say the company hasn't lived up to that promise. 1 year ago:
Biden only picked up that ball after the East Palestine disaster vindicated all the reasons the union wanted to strike in the first place. It was a PR move because he had blood on his hands.
For comparison a single socialist city council member in Seattle pushed and won the for 12 days of sick leave for the entire city back in 2012. 4 days is bread crumbs. They would have gotten a much better deal had they just been left alone to strike and negotiate.

- Comment on Speaking of controllers: What's your favorite WEIRD controller? 1 year ago:
Not super weird in the grand scheme of things but I played the shit out of FFXI using this controller and when my friends found out I was using this they were astounded at my typing speed. This was back in the era of texting with a number pad so thumb typing was as prevalent as it is today.

- Comment on Former Square Enix exec on why Final Fantasy sales don’t meet expectations and chances of recouping insane AAA budgets | Game World Observer 1 year ago:
There is no value considered in providing stable income to the team members. No value considered in artists honing their craft. Even if the games only had marginal profits in and of themselves, considering the cost of big budget games, there is still huge value in creating and maintaining a large IP like this.
I fucking hate everything about this.

Let’s just make new terminology to muddy the publics political understanding instead of using the word that has existed since the 18th century.
This is reactionary politics.

- Comment on What’s one miscast role that irks you in an otherwise perfect film? 1 year ago:
Walken was fine for me. The emperor played a smaller role in the film anyway.
The real miscast and the only problem in what is quite possibly one of the best adaptations we will ever see: Brolin as Gurney and Momoa as Idaho. They had the right actors in the wrong roles. I just don’t understand how you could flip those two pivotal characters like that. I really don’t think Momoa will be able to pull of a good mentat in the 3rd film.
