- Comment on Looking for a local co-op game to play with my SO (Steam Deck) 1 week ago:
The whole series is great. But two Crowns is multi player. But, thinking, might only be split screen on one device?
- Comment on Looking for a local co-op game to play with my SO (Steam Deck) 1 week ago:
Check out Kingdom Two Crowns. Absolutely brilliant
- Comment on Transferred overseas drivers licenses for permanent residents are no longer valid - don’t get done 1 week ago:
The title is apparently misleading.
Here is a copy-pasta:
“Permanent residents in Australia who use their overseas licence on Aussie roads…”

- Comment on Adam Bandt says the Greens can deliver ‘real change’ – but the party should choose its battles more wisely 2 weeks ago:
They’re important.
The libs and Labor are owned by the miners and the gambling industry.
We need to cut the income to the corrupt duopoly, and the threat of the greens is real
- Comment on Labor made plenty of promises at the last election. Did they deliver? 2 weeks ago:
Don’t let the Libs or Labor fool you that there’s “not enough money”.
We could have free school, university, full free healthcare, and more. We could have it tomorrow. The money IS there.
The miners are getting all of the wealth out of the ground and paying $0 tax.
The gas industry are not even paying to get the gas out of the ground, and they pay $0 tax.
The reason?
The Libs and Labor get fat, over paid jobs as ‘consultants’ with the miners when they leave public office.
This is corruption in Australia. The libs and labor letting their mates take it all for free. Billions worth every year. Then the fat jobs await them.
Put them both last on the ballot. Fire their corrupt asses, and get the public money back from the miners, to fund a healthy and wealthy society.

- Comment on A retro gaming handheld console has been amazing for me and I want to recommend it 3 weeks ago:
Purchased My wife a RP5 for Christmas. I could see she’d always wanted to game, but was embarrassed that her controller skills were non existence.
3+ months in, and she’s a button maniac. Her farm in Stardew is insane, and she’s fighting monsters in the caves better than I do.
That little device created a private space for her, to get lost in the magical little world, and in the process has turned her into a gamer.
I never interfered. Only answered her queries when she asked, and let her go at her own pace.
Total game changer. I’m so proud of her.
Can’t wait to get her into some new games, but waiting for her to make the call. All in her own time.

Surely though if it is fully GPL, then new assets can be created by the community and the originals are no longer required?

- Comment on GP visits to become free for most under $8.5b Labor [campaign] Medicare promise 2 months ago:
An election promise, that’s 5 years away, if they deliver it. At which point they might not even get back in. This is called a pipedream promise, to get elected.
- Comment on Xbox Sales Hit Rock Bottom After Historic 2024 Decline 2 months ago:
Got a retroid locket 5.
Wish I’d done it years ago. Never had more accessible gaming.
And not just retro titles. Stardew Valley, modern metroidvanias, etc are amazing on it.
- Comment on Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for iOS shuts down over "unfixable bug" 2 months ago:
Definitely. I’ve written some small games. Gave them away free on the play store.
Lasted about 3 years tops before they were removed for not supporting X, Y and Z new features.
Shame. One of them had tens of thousands of downloads.

- Comment on Grand Theft Auto VI and Grand Theft Auto Online Could Be Sold Separately; Rockstar Is Targeting Solid 30 FPS on Consoles, According to Former Animator 2 months ago:
It’s not shocking, when you consider the level of graphical fidelity they’ll be pushing on screen.
The more detail you add, the lower the framerate, on any given hardware. They will be balancing “on my God!” level graphics, with playable frame rates. The fact they’re shooting for such a relatively low frame rate, shows how hard they’re pushing the hardware.

- Comment on LoZ Minish Cap Similar Games 3 months ago:
This is more arcadey, but I recommend giving Cave Story a go. The story is rich, the worlds deep. It’s a great game. It’s not the same genre, but for me, it has a similar vibe.
