It’s because the definition includes things that aren’t really about the object itself and more about where it is. And also how inconsistent it is, as Mercury isn’t in hydrostatic equilibrium and yet is explicitly included as a planet by the IAU. Nevermind the fact that the new definition was speed voted and approved by less than 400 astronomers in a convention where 2500+ people attended, let alone not even being discussed with the larger scientific community.
But hey, if you’d rather dismiss my points because of an url, you do you. Not like this changes our everyday live anyway.

It’s about keeping the solar system small and simple. There would be tens of planets, in the old definition.

Except when you actually read about the change in Pluto’s status and how unscientific it actually is.

I hope they release the price soon, the discourse on this has become incredibly tiring.

Did you know this isn’t a discussion at all in most of the world? People do whatever and no one is bothered by it. I only ever see this in American media.

I met a lot of women like this also. It just manifests differently. Rather than books it will be the newest celebrity drama/reality show.

They found a way to learn that works for them. As someone that almost always prefer text, I understand why you feel this way but you must have realized that most people prefer this format. And as far as I can tell, so long as they can read an email when it’s important (which they’ll learn one way or another), it will be fine.

I didn’t really fiddle with any settings to make ot work, I just used protontricks to install a few font packages that were missing. I’m running from a steam install useng the -providerportal flag. That said some of the newest maps have terrible performance compared to the rest of the game.

I’ve been playing GW2 on Linux for the past year with the same performance as on windows.

Let’s plays can be okay for new games, but I’d look into emulating something on your phone. If you crave the pc experience (which I totally get), you can probably get an old laptop for very cheap, slap linux on it and have fun.

I don’t get why people hate on this. Do all the useless nick-nacks actually add something to their lives?

Freespace is a bigger game with more ships and is more military focused. This game is more about being a mercenary/freelancer with very good voice acting and the world feels fleshed out. It’s also super easy, comparatively.

His voice and all the other voice actors add a lot to the game. Hope you enjoy it!

I do think it’s interesting you find video games have an entry barrier that’s higher than, say, music, even though the vast majority of people don’t have a way to listen to vinyl, as per your own example.
Nowadays people need phones, so depending on the game they can indeed experience them is some form.

If I were tasked with this project I’d probably make the plot about Vyke. It would mirror the tarnished"s journey enough.
