  It’s possible, but it’s been extremely cold and overcast where I live for the past month. If anything, the rain froze and popped it off?

  Just curious, did it also have those streaks? Obviously my first thought was fingernails (could be because I have the urge to peel cracking clear coat and I’m projecting lol). It’s just bizarre happening when it did, and where I live since it’s essentially been cloudy and overcast just about every day this month! I needed to get it fixed regardless, so no harm no foul I guess?

  No, I’m just assuming based on the streaks left by what I assumed to be nails

  I didn’t know that sub existed, thanks! I’ll wait on posting there until I’ve confirmed it was actually fingernails, since the other comments said it may be something else 😉

  Not necessarily a stone chip, but likely a tree branch chip that started it! This is the rear wing on my car so I feel like a stone hitting it is a little unlikely, but ultimately not impossible I suppose. The spot wasn’t growing at all when I originally noticed it, then one day it was massive. I always took care around it because I obviously didn’t want to make it worse by washing it.

  I suppose it’s possible that the horrendous rain around here did it though!

  The sun started it, for sure! But those streaks scream nail marks to me, since the spot wasn’t getting any bigger until one day it was massive

  I get captchas that are like “select motorcycles” and they’re all scooters, or “select all busses” and 95% of the pictures are what machine vision assumes to be a bus but is actually a crosswalk

  And I fail them because I don’t pick the “obviously not a bus” bus

  My tip for not getting caught would be: probably don’t murder someone in the first place unless they really really deserve it

  I’m conflicted because I love cars and how they work (including EVs!!!) but also don’t entirely love how loud they can be.

  I got a GR Corolla which has a little tiny 3 cylinder engine, but it’s so loud on cold starts. Luckily I live in the woods, because I would feel so bad cold starting it in a neighborhood.

  I’m conflicted because I love my car, but can also appreciate how cars just don’t have to be so loud that they give you temporary deafness as they drive by. Unfortunately with internal combustion, louder generally equals better flow in the exhaust which equals more power.

  At first I was confused because Tennessee is a lot of mountains, so them getting covered with water was surprising

  Then I saw Italy

  I had a yellow jacket fly out of the blue then land on my heel and sting me for absolutely no reason! There wasn’t even a nest nearby!

  Then a week later another yellow jacket landed on my arm and stung me right under my watch band

  Pretty rude if you ask me
