Looks like the answer%20and%20North%20Africa) has to do with the predominant religion in the area (if any)
Most of Europe and China consider Monday the first day of the (work) week, while North America, Israel, South Asia, and many Catholic and Protestant countries, consider Sunday the first day of the week, while Saturday is judged as the first day of the week in much of the Middle East (Israel excepted) and North Africa due to the Islamic influence.
- Comment on Or we could do metric time 3 weeks ago:
Iirc most countries consider Monday the beginning of the week and Sunday the end of the week, hence the term “weekend”

I’m afraid I don’t, but it’s easily one of the most famous reddit posts ever, you’ll find it if you look it up.
It was in a thread on a post about someone who seemingly found a homemade electric chair in an abandoned house iirc. The chair was connected to a car battery, and Electro-Balls wanted to show everyone that a car battery didn’t generate enough current to cause pain, let along hurt/kill someone.

Like that guy that posted photos of him electrocuting his testicles with a car battery to prove it wouldn’t hurt?

How about the old “salted feet and goats” trick
- Comment on If Hitler was captured, what would have been his punishment in the Nuremberg Trials? 5 weeks ago:
Probably something like Mussolini, captured by a random group of soldiers who made sure justice was served. Too bad it never happened, really.

I think that’s still the case in some places, take countries like Korea or Vietnam, where street food is everywhere and it won’t literally kill you to live off of it.

I memorized the lyrics just so I could tell people I did it.
As for the tune, the melody is like three notes repeating and the chorus so not too bad.

I was referring to Nintendo still pushing software updates to try and break 3ds homebrew even though after next month they won’t support the console in any way

- Comment on Nepal tells Everest tourists to take their shit with them 1 month ago:
That’s exactly what happens from what I understand. The fine is so negligible compared to the rest of the costs for the trip that it can just be paid off.
'“If the penalty for a crime is a fine, then that law only exists for the lower class,” comes to mind.

- Comment on Nepal tells Everest tourists to take their shit with them 1 month ago:
How about their shit and the rest of their garbage? Or raise the tax/fine for not doing so to better fund efforts to clean up the mountain. First option is probably better because then no one has to risk their life cleaning up after other people.
I get that it’s a crazy achievement to summit the highest point above sea level, a point dozens, if not hundreds have died to reach, but it shouldn’t come at the cost of the environment.

My bad, been a while since I read about it and must’ve gotten confused between BBC and all the times American companies taped over old shows. (Including the goddamn moon landing, good job, NASA/
I knew some had been recovered over the years but we’re all of them found?
- Comment on Help me out 1 month ago:
No better place to start, though you might miss some plot points thanks to the episodes BBC taped over.
