Bi and straight are not really compatible, but it could mean they’re bi-curious. Like mostly straight with some mild gay tendencies.
Asexuality is tangential to gender preference.

He’s also trying to exterminate trans people

Il is both he/it.
“Où est mon chapeau?” / “Il est là-bas”
- Comment on [deleted] 3 days ago:
In French it’s “il pleut”, which literally translates to “it rains”

MAGA can hold multiple conflicting viewpoints at once. There is no logic to them, they will just go with whatever is useful for causing harm. MAGA is made up of the losers who bullied everyone in middle school and never grew up.

Toxic masculinity harms fucking everyone
- Comment on I have an acquaintance that have their own "password system" that involves having a "core" set of characters, plus a few unique characters for each site; Is that system safe? 1 week ago:
No it’s still not safe. The only way to truly be safe is randomized password strings and 2fa (and even then, you’re beholden to the safety of the company)
- Comment on There's a noticable influx of trans kids in my job. Are there any topics I should avoid or considerations I should take into account when training them? 1 week ago:
Depends on who you ask

There’s really not a lot to it. Respect their chosen names and pronouns, and don’t ask them random questions about being trans unless they’re open to it. Listen when/if they get close enough to talk about their experiences, and reassure them that this is a safe space. Don’t impose gender norms on them.
Otherwise, we’re just like everyone else.

This post raises more questions about you than anything. I’ve been on Lemmy for a while and have never run into any, wtf are you looking at
- Comment on Where on the internet would you discuss a specific case of a potential exploitation of a minor within the adult industry"? 2 weeks ago:
To be fair, the FBI won’t be very useful nowadays

- Comment on what language would be best for me to learn? 2 weeks ago:
I’m fluent in Spanish and English, currently learning French. I like to describe it as Spanish with all the parts of English that make no sense. But knowing Spanish does make it a lot easier
- Comment on When will all the folks complaining about loss of Snap and health insurance realize the GOP wants us to die and has ZERO empathy for fellow Americans? 2 weeks ago:
It’s a really good movie
- Comment on What would I need to do to successfully paint with my own menstrual blood? 4 weeks ago:
It’s going to turn a sickly brown-black color. I have some veinous blood on wall art and it honestly looks like tried ketchup at this point. I’m not sure what preservative would work though.
As others said, it’s gonna be thin like watercolor. Maybe it can be mixed with ink?
- Comment on What would I need to do to successfully paint with my own menstrual blood? 4 weeks ago:
Oh no there’s definitely enough blood
- Comment on Why do we tolerate it that Luigi Mangione is being held in prison. We know its absolutely the least safe place he can be? 4 weeks ago:
They 100% are

Have you tried reaching out to support?
- Comment on As a child of the 90s we grew up with PC Political Correctness. Is that WOKE but just in a different form? 5 weeks ago:
“Woke”, “PC”, “CRT”, “DEI” and other terms like that are just dogwhistles for racist people that mean “people who aren’t white cishet men”
- Comment on Do British people say "brr" when they're cold? If so, how do they pronounce the R? 1 month ago:
In French it sounds like Chewbacca
- Comment on What's the point in getting married? 1 month ago:
It’s not necessary for a visa in a lot of places. Canada uses common law partnership, for example.
- Comment on What's the next stop on the authoritarianism express? 1 month ago:
Making HRT straight up illegal
Sending dissidents, queer people, immigrants, and political rivals on a one way trip to El Salvador
Lining up military forces along the Canadian and Mexican borders, then a moment of dementia when Trump says he’ll do the same to Greenland
AI meets eugenics meets racism

I’m leaving the US for my own safety so no, you’re not being paranoid. A lot of people who fear for their safety but can’t leave are trying to move to blue states. I personally know at least a half dozen.
- Comment on Why do people insist on not answering ALL the questions in an email or text message? 1 month ago:
I usually number my questions, makes it more obvious
- Comment on How likely is it that Trump will be the first President assassinated since Kennedy? 1 month ago:
There’s definitely been a few attempts (though I’m not convinced they weren’t false flags)
- Comment on Every single jigsaw puzzle in the store was one of these. 1 year ago:
If my partner and I are anything like the average puzzle enjoyer, we look at the box for the big picture. Mostly until we have enough put together that we don’t need it any more. The only time we rely on the box more is when the puzzle is very repetitive with subtle differences
- Comment on What do you see that you wish others saw? 1 year ago:
I’ll start empathizing with conservatives when they aren’t trying to legislate away every aspect of my existence. I’m not going to apologize for having disdain for white supremacists and their supporters.
- Comment on What do you see that you wish others saw? 1 year ago:
Pineapple and pizza (especially white pizza) are meant for each other
- Comment on What's stopping people who lash out at the world from going after corporations? 1 year ago:
Are you going after the faceless corporate types that work in a well protected office building in a city you can’t afford to live in?
Those low level workers also have to deal with exploitation, a job’s a job. That’s why Alphabet recently unionized, and then Alphabet retaliated against their unionized workers by firing them while they spoke to city council.
