- Comment on If WWIII broke out tomorrow do you honestly believe america would win? 1 day ago:
Americans are already fleeing as political refugees, regardless of whether or not asylum is involved. I did it on a work permit but the mental and physical stresses are all there
- Comment on How long would it take a black Hole to fully absorb a person from event horizon to center of the earth style? 2 days ago:
Depends on who you ask
- Comment on What do all the subgenres of music mean? How does anyone make sense of them? 3 days ago:
It’s a language so that people can discuss varying levels of nuance with each other. You probably don’t care about the difference between industrial metal and folk metal, but metalheads certainly do. And even that’s a pretty top level example.
Same goes for every other genre/subgenre. Indie pop and bubble pop can be very different, and just because someone likes one doesn’t mean they’ll like the other.
There is also a historic factor in all this because genres are always influenced, derived from, or mixed with other genres. Triphop was born this way, as a mix of hiphop, jazz, dub, electronica, and others
- Comment on How does that craft where you stab a ball of fluff with a needle until it looks like something work? 5 days ago:
Huh I’ve tried felting cat hair before and had zero success. It’s too long, I ended up just burying it in regular felt. Whereas my dog’s hair was super easy to felt into a mini version of her
- Comment on At this point, what should we do about the ICE raids? If an ICE agent breaks in without a warrant or holds you at gunpoint, what do you do? 5 days ago:
There are four boxes of liberty. The soap box, the ballot box, the jury box, and the ammo box. Use them in that order
- Comment on How does that craft where you stab a ball of fluff with a needle until it looks like something work? 6 days ago:
It’s called felting. It’s just condensing all the hairs together. They have to be coarse enough to bind to each other
Fun fact, you can felt dog hair but not cat hair
- Comment on With the ICE raids coming up at a very faster rate, do we need more self-defense (or community defense organizing) classes? 1 week ago:
Yes.
- Comment on If I publish my memoir and wrote about every bad thing people did to hurt me while the people mentioned are still alive, how much trouble could I get in? 1 week ago:
I can’t wait for the discovery phase of that lawsuit
- Comment on What are the limits to masked so called ICE agents? Are they just let off the hook and disobey laws while not identifying themselves? Why can't I be in the right by them stopping me first and shoot? 1 week ago:
As long as the fascists are in power, they are functionally above the law. We’ve seen them murder in broad daylight and rape without punishment.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 week ago:
Gun violence isn’t even in the top 10 leading causes of death in the US. You’re more likely to die in an auto accident or to cancer or heart disease or diabetes or a number of other things than due to gun violence. If you’re trying to present a serious argument here, you might want to consider actual statistics.
Given the prevalence of carbrain culture and corn syrup/hyperprocessed ingredients in EVERYTHING, I think this is more of a “we should tackle all of the above” problem. Your chances of dying to gun violence in the US are exponentially higher than anywhere else, in addition to the US taking health and safety less seriously than other developed countries. The red line must go up at any cost.
I say this as someone who lived in the US for most of my life before fleeing to another country. The grass is always greener when compared to a toxic waste dump.
- Comment on Is there anyway I can screw around with ICE? I need a new hobby I come from a long line of immigrants. If i send my home address and phone number will they actually come and deport me to choose a cntr 1 week ago:
ICE is the new Candlej
- Comment on [deleted] 2 weeks ago:
Lol no
- Comment on What should the next President of the United States do? 2 weeks ago:
I expect it’ll be another center right neolib so nothing substantial
- Comment on What's it going to take to truly stop the US? 2 weeks ago:
The visa holders are often the people fleeing the US
- Comment on What's it going to take to truly stop the US? 2 weeks ago:
War, either world or civil. Unfortunately I don’t see any other way at this point
- Comment on 64$ the ticket, 1040$ surcharge. 3 weeks ago:
More like “extort fees”
- Comment on [deleted] 4 weeks ago:
Good idea in concept, but in reality it’s only used for money laundering and grift
- Comment on [deleted] 4 weeks ago:
The “fishy” smell comes from cadaverine/putricine compounds. You don’t want that. It can happen during periods but shouldn’t be permanent.
- Comment on Why does everyone put celery in soup stock? 5 weeks ago:
I used to hate it when I was a kid but I quite enjoy it now. Same with cinnamon.
- Comment on Why does everyone put celery in soup stock? 5 weeks ago:
Carrots get sweet when boiled in a stew, it’s lovely
- Comment on Is it a bad idea to learn Russian because of everything? 5 weeks ago:
There’s never really any downsides to learning another language, provided you have the commitment and resources.
- Comment on Why do some Americans "feel ashamed" for being American even when it's not their fault? 1 month ago:
American education has always been a complete shitshow. Recently I realized that I never actually knew anything about the war of 1812 because the extent of what was taught to us in fucking NY was like a single page in a textbook. Unless you took AP you didn’t learn shit.
I’ve learned more about it now, I’m just pissed that my education didn’t actually teach me shit
- Comment on Why do some Americans "feel ashamed" for being American even when it's not their fault? 1 month ago:
I’m a citizen living in another country. I will NEVER FUCKING EVER call myself an American, much less a proud American. I’ll call myself a NYer because I owe most of who I am to that state/city, but I am ashamed about the country I grew up in.
- Comment on Is there an optimal home/apartment size that most people would be happy with? 1 month ago:
Most apartments I’ve lived in (2 people and a dog) fall into the 500-1000 sqft range. I’d say 1500-2000 is plenty big for all but the largest families
- Comment on [deleted] 1 month ago:
They’re meh at best. My ADHD rarely lets me enjoy them
- Comment on Is there a practical reason data centers have to sprawl outward instead of upward? 1 month ago:
Probably a combination of it being cheaper (as the others said) and data centers not really having to be near right next to cities. It’s easier to plop them in the middle of nowhere.
- Comment on What's happened from July to September 2025 that might make people Google "Worst timeline"? 2 months ago:
If I wanted to talk to AI bots I’d visit the comment section on any AP News Instagram post
- Comment on How are these ICE agents allowed to fire on protestors like this 2 months ago:
Because they’re corrupt fascists. That’s it. That’s the totality of it
- Comment on Was the fall of Rome this stupid? 3 months ago:
The circus is where all the outcasts of society go to form family. It’s often satirical, aggressively leftist, and deeply connected to the arts.
Signed, a circus performer

I mod a server with 13k people, it’s really not that bad when you have channels, threads, and forums.
