It’s a guilty pleasure that I love The Matter of Disguise.
- Comment on Bestbuy decided to use fucking **DOORDASH** to deliver my order, I couldn't cancel it. Today I was supposed to get it, and I saw the driver stealing the package after marking it as delivered. 4 days ago:
There is an entire industry of companies that make “drop off boxes” that allow the deliverer to put a package in it, but doesn’t allow anyone without the pin number to open it. We live in the dumbest timeline.

I won’t spoil it either, but I ended up doing ng 5+ before I wanted to start over and just enjoy it from scratch.

I’m on my third playthrough, and there’s just so much to do and see. I loved the main plot on my first playthrough because I was focused on it, but now I’m exploring so many other things.
Not to mention I got it on launch, and there have been so many QoL changes since then.

I legitimately love starfield. I thought the main story was amazing, but I’m a huge sci Fi nut.

Capitalism.
- Comment on Nearly half of streaming subscriptions are for plans with ads 5 weeks ago:
Exactly this. We had a once in a generation chance to change how people watch TV and movies, and we fucked it up once again. We’re right back to paying for something with ads. Cable TV was better than broadcast back in the day because you could hear swears and see nudity, but suffer through ads for it.
- Comment on What are some examples of series that only have a good first season, and should be dropped after that? 5 weeks ago:
I’m going to get downvoted to oblivion, but Stranger Things. Season 1 was perfect, and in my opinion the rest have sort of been all over the place.

Hot take: I’m fine with Bethesda taking their time to release a game if that means it’ll be higher quality. There are thousands of games released a week. Hi play something else in the meantime.

To co-sign on the stupidity of embedded washing machine firmware, if we lose power, the next time you start the washing machine you’re presented with an error message saying the power has failed. Like, no duh. You have to acknowledge the error message before you can start a new load.

I’ve never worked in the service industry, so that might still be a thing, but even if it is, that shouldn’t have to exist.

They missed a step. "Waiter is paid below the already sad minimum wage because tips are somehow factored into their paycheck. "
Also don’t forget the folks working in the back of the house. Tip if you’re able, despite our shitty system.

We got our 2 kids laptops for Christmas that are now running Linux, and steam, so I’m doing my part. They previously didn’t have their own computers, so this should count.

I used to live in a brick rowhouse, and the arched transom started to crack. I thought I’d diy repoint it myself, only to find out that a previous contractor had “fixed” it by jamming cardboard in the cracks and filled it in with caulk. Totally legit.
