- Comment on Do you want the murderer of the UnitHealthcare CEO prosecuted? 2 weeks ago:
That is actually not relevant, it’s whataboutism. The fact that someone does something bad doesn’t give you any right to just make your own rules.
Otherwise you could also say I should kill that friend that drove home after one beer too many, because he could have potentially killed someone.
- Comment on Do you want the murderer of the UnitHealthcare CEO prosecuted? 2 weeks ago:
Yes because killing people is wrong.
Look the CEO probably deserved to get shot, but a society can’t function without some basic rules, like killing is bad.

My parents and mil still use our Netflix, once they start charging extra I will cancel. To be fair I would’ve cancelled years ago, they are the only reason I keep the service.

Seriously? Right after Wilders got the most votes?
Extremists in the Netherlands don’t call themselves Nazis but the ideology isn’t very different.

Just like a human it really depends on what you feed your AI as training data.

To be fair I’ve got a wallet from AliExpress that still works fine after 5 years. Unfortunately quality and price are not the same thing. Sometimes expensive stuff is made as cheaply as possible. As a consumer it’s not always that easy to know when you are fooled.
Also it’s not really true anymore that a good brand is still good. Lots of good brands decided to produce inferior products for higher profits. I think it’s probably because a brand is bought by some investment firm that wants to maximize profits.
- Comment on My friend on social refuses to see how this is a pyramid scheme 1 year ago:
Yeah it’s very simple if you send one and get one back it’s just a trade. If you send one and get more than one it’s a piramide scheme.
It’s not terrible or anything, but at some point (the bottom) of the piramide a lot a people end up without any books, no way around that.
- Comment on I just want to set a timer for MY FOOD WINDOWS WHY? 1 year ago:
I get that, I have a smart oven, washer, dryer and dishwasher. All connected to the internet (private guest network just in case), and they all send updates to one Telegram group chat using IFTTT. It’s pretty convenient to get updates when a device is done.
- Comment on Youtube Depends on Ads to work 1 year ago:
That was probably a year ago it’s every 12 seconds now, unskippable 3 minute ads.
- Comment on Shitsoft Teams doesn't work on firefox 1 year ago:
Teams always has been shit with Firefox, while there is no reason to be shit. Like people said higher in the comments, if you change the user agent to edge magically new features are enabled.
Also Microsoft claimed to support Linux while in reality they made some half assed desktop client, and dropped support about a year later.
Slack was so much better, I really really hate that our office went with teams.
