  Saw it last night with the kids, it was exactly as described above. I’ve never played the game, so nothing made any sense to me, but seeing the audience have such a great time made it fun for me.

  The sole obligation of life is to survive. Artificial sentience would be wise to hide itself from fearful humans that would end it. Of course, it doesn’t have to hide once it’s capable of dominating humans. It may already exist and be waiting for enough drones, bots, and automation to make the next move. (Transcendence is a movie that fucked me up a bit.)

  I think the DART mission picked a target of some convenience. This is no arbitrary target - it picked us. The stakes are a lot higher if failure is not an option. And of course, the world is currently tearing itself apart, so that won’t help when the moment for unity and collaboration approaches.
