I only really ever got the urge to spend when I lost a 50/50 for a favorite limited banner character. I stopped playing and hopped to another game instead though, eheh

if I didn’t have to mod the fuck out of oblivion to make it playable without a spreadsheet, i’d be very mad at you.

I’ve been there. But then I fixed it. Call me a necromancer, because old friends can come back from the dead too.

- Comment on Your all-time favorite game? Let's discuss the best options! 1 month ago:
do you like sportsball, but think it needs level ups, perks, and gear? no? Me neither. I absolutely loved Pyre though. When a game dev takes a risk on a weird mashup like 3v3 basketball + Fantasy RPGs + visual novels, it’s an easy way to score points with me. What really cemented this as my favorite was the characters and the emergent interactions that develop as part of your decisions during the Rites. No spoilers, but the game asks you to make hard decisions at every turn of the wheel, and that particular kind of tension and release is very unique in my experience. It’s one of the few games I’ve 100%'d to see every permutation of events.

- Comment on What’s a movie nobody can convince you is good? 1 month ago:
Princess Bride. The narrative framework of some shitkid not appreciating that his grandpa is Columbo ruins the whole thing. Those two characters should be cut out and then it will be good. …Okay, Peter Falk can stay.

- Comment on What does a week of groceries look like to you? 1 month ago:
2 cups of rice, 1 cup of pintos, four flour tortillas, a nebulous amount of grits, 6 english muffins, 6 eggs, a few bananas and plain oat cereal, two bags worth of frozen veggies (cauli, broc, carrots, bell peppers, onions), a single chicken breast, a small roll of ground beef, a small roll of pork sausage, a half gallon of OJ, a half gallon of coffee, a half gallon of tea, a half gallon of oatmilk, and a hand-waved amount of spices, salsa, seasonings, choese, vinegar, and/or sweeteners.
huh, i eat more than i thought

It’s unhinged that the symbol of christianity/catholicism is the gruesome instrument of torturous execution used on their figure of worship. Like… What the fuck? Why not a decanter, or a barn, or an open stone door, or literally any other aspect relevant to his miracles? It’s like they’re declaring the most important message is that godly deeds will bring you agonizing death.
- Comment on Just shoot me and save me the trouble 2 months ago:
That would be ideal, but a problem arises when there isn’t complete silence in the background. Noisy neighbors, housemates, cats running around in the hallway at 3 in the morning. The fan noise mutes it to some degree, and then you begin to register the fan as silence-adjacent.
- Comment on Just shoot me and save me the trouble 2 months ago:
The trick is to point it at you feet, not your face. Faster temperature regulation when you have to stick exactly one foot out to not be too hot.

- Comment on Skyblivion, the fan remake of Oblivion in Skyrim's engine, nears completion 2 months ago:
A remaster for the first too wouldn’t be enough, I figure. I played daggerfall unity and it just does not hold up. A full on remake would be interesting, but they’d have to go hard, and reconceptualize a lot.
