Now you’re old enough to enjoy the forbidden Halloween candy.
As a European who doesn't celebrate Halloween (it's explicitly an Anglosphere thing), I was always surprised by the amount of scaremongering about dangerous candy (let it be for razor blades and whatnot in it, or more commonly, drugs), when pretty much every single case - and that's maybe one or two a year - of dangerous candy, including candy that is simply... out of date... gets reported internationally.
Like, a few years back, I think right after COVID, it was headlines that a couple accidentally gave out a few - either THC gummies or brownies or mushroom chocolate - and immediately went after the kids and let the parents know, so there was no harm, and yet...
Meanwhile the child pedestrian death rate on Halloween is like, 3x higher than any other day in the year, yet you don't see THAT being the concern for parents...

Still waiting for those free drugs that apparently everyone was giving out.

As believable as chain letters

That’s communism! Kids need to stop being lazy and go work three jobs and take out loans for their drugs or we can kiss never ending profit margins goodbye and the terrorists win

Right? No one is going to waste hardcore drugs on kids. Though with the proliferation of THC gummies and candies I wouldn’t be surprised if someone accidentally handed them out. Kids eating special candy has been a common issue in legal states.
