I love seeing these. They are also really funny; there is some kind of comedic brilliance to Squidward delivering this message

Thank you! I know they aren’t for everybody but I thought some people would get a chuckle

Statistically, you will live a middle life, on average. Like, by definition.

I want my name to echo through history, like Edison. Not forgotten, like those people he stole his ideas from.

I used to feel similarly, but just living a rad life should be pretty good, I think, eh? Part of what convinced me was reading Germaine de Staël’s Treatise on the Influence of Passions on the Happiness of Individuals and Nations. Bottom line to me was just that fighting for renown is just too much bother, living a great ass life will be great regardless and if renown comes for that, great, why not.

Anyway, food for thought, it’s a good read, I recommend it.

I feel like this one plays into the issue of not doing more when you can do more. All things in moderation, including moderation.

Sometimes it’s good to do more rather than just the normal amount of something.

These are like from something right? I’d love to read through all of them in an easier format that a pile of squidward memes if that’s an option ❤️

I just found em online, I don’t know if they are from something. I think people just made them up, which is cool

Not sure if this is what you want but this video has them voiced

There’s a similar one for vices.

Well this is definitely from Catholicism and the Seven Heavenly Virtues. These are all opposed by the Seven Deadly Sins, hence the title here Sins & Virtues.

While erring on the side if caution, I will say looking these up and reading about them is definitely something you can and should do as they themselves aren’t really about religion but more about a belief system tied to the religion.

I kinda meant the rebuttals for each of the deadly sins and heavenly virtues. I was raised catholic I know of them and where to know more. I’m mainly interested in the last panel of each of these. I was almost certain some of them were either from or based on hedonistic texts but I was curious to see if there was more than the short quips
