A lot of songs are just good, so speeding them up gives them a different vibe that also works. It is its own subculture. I like some songs better in Nightcore.
There’re also people that specifically edit the songs for nightcore, changing it to better fit the vibe.

A lot of people who speed up a song and then claim to be an artist.
A lot of it is pretty good though, my favorite version of ed sheeran’s castle on the hill is a nightcore edit.
