  The poor thing… inflating is incredibly stressful for them and playing with them when they’re puffed up is definitely also bad for them. Imagine you’re having a panic attack and someone just comes along and starts sampling your sweat.

  I get that perhaps you didn’t know, but please don’t do that again, it’s way more inhumane than you probably think - though I get what that wouldn’t be intuitive at all. Your playing with the pufferfish is better only compared to how dolphins play with pufferfish which is somehow still worse than how orcas literally explode spongefish (and I mean it very literally) (that’s the torture levels that you’re competing with). Again, I understand you maybe didn’t know, but it’s generally a good rule of thumb to look up nature stuff you might stumble upon and interact with if you don’t know much about it.
