Companies always day they are forced to pass their increased costs on to consumers. Oddly, they don’t feel any such obligation when it comes to their reduced costs.

A capitalist food supply is made for profit. If the food cannot be profitable, then it it worthless and discarded. Now apply this to housing, education, the justice system, and healthcare and you start to understand our situation.

Oh it cannot be discarded, it must be destroyed so that it cannot be utilized. Resources and nature are only valid if profitable.

I didn’t read this Steinbeck in school (I read Of Mice and Men), but I thought back then “I’m glad we moved past this. We wouldn’t allow such work today so blatantly”.

Side note, but you know those coolers for the milk where they stock them from behind? Loss prevention sometimes hang out in those - straight view down an entire aisle and shoppers* don’t usually pay enough attention to notice them. Something to check.

Hate (not really) to say this but people kinda had it right with the mobs of grab and goes, set up a day for everyone to get their tariff refunds. Money only has value if we let it, I contribute to society wtf do I gotta starve go broke for, a trip 2 Dr’s, little healthier foods…

Reallywe gotta reclaim the means of production. Squat a building, put a lathe or something in there. Have an old person from the neighborhood be the shop teacher or make tools. Do the same for everything.

I started following this guy on Instagram named Jimmy Wrigg, who goes around to different Walmarts and weighs different product (mostly meat), proving that Walmart is shorting customers by almost half a pound sometimes.
