  No, he is not smart, in any sense of the word. Trump started all this by choice. Hundreds, if not thousands have died directly, and millions have been affected worldwide. And when the people and media didn’t immediately rally around the flag as expected, he became desperate to get out of it. The only thing he cares about is optics, and Iran won the narrative the second the first bomb dropped. If anything, Iran agreeing to end the conflict is doing Trump a favor. He does not deserve it. The only thing he deserves is to be removed from office and tried for the fucking mountain of crimes he has committed throughout his miserable existence.

  Thinking that Trump is smart because of that is like seeing a monkey throw poop in the air, not get it back on its head, and conclude that he is smart because of that.

  Trump is pathetically worthless. If you start having conclusions that imply that he is smart or good, it means that either

  • you are a maga supporter trying to sneak some propaganda here and there
  • this question is, indeed, too stupid for this comm

  Thus the downvotes.

  Even assuming that all you said would be true, the conclusion is absolutely not that Trump is smart. Even considering that he is lucky is a stretch here (I mean, he is lucky as fuck all things considered, but in that particular case, not so much).

  So yeah. You’ll have to find a very solid explanation for calling Trump smart, if you want to avoid downvotes, here or anywhere else.

    I guess it was misjudgement saying Trump is smart for doing so, when he could just… not start a war and tried other disruptions instead.

    I did want to ask if war is going to end and Trump is getting away with it, but decided to go one step too far (maybe for virality? Dumb me again)

    So much for me believing there is truly no stupid questions.

      The question itself isn’t inherently a stupid question. Perhaps some better phrasing would have helped. Like, “Is it a smart move for Trump to end the war with Iran at this point?”. Which, correct me if I’m wrong, is essentially what you’re asking.

  • What makes you think it’s ending? Can you link to a particular news article in particular? I’ve seen nothing to that effect. Even the ceasefire collapsed immediately after it was announced.
  • What disruptions do you think Trump got? Again, I’ve heard nothing indicating that.
  • I don’t think Trump is exceedingly unintelligent per se. He’s pretty talented at manipulating people. He’s more like… extremely immature emotionally and short-sighted. And definitely not book-smart. Maybe even illiterate. Think -1 INT, -4 WIS. (Compared to, say, W. who was more -2 INT, -1 WIS. Or Palin who is -4 INT, -3 WIS. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.)

  I think you’re getting downvotes because you’re saying the war is ending and Trump’s getting what he wanted out of it and nobody knows where you could possibly have gotten those impressions.

  Trump started a war for no reason, jerked off Israel and is now “ending” the war and will say Joe Biden started it and somehow his followers will sheep it. The US is so stupid

  Did you actually believe the war was over and that Trump was smart? The answer to that question is probably the answer to your edit question.
