My hot take is that the food in my neck of the woods has tracked with inflation. Unfortunately, my pay check has not.

Prices increasing with inflation is a tautology.
I never understood how anybody can eat that crap. One walk through our garden and I have a free meal. If you don’t have a garden, go to your local farmer, it’s dirt cheap. You can even order great meat for a fraction of the supermarket torture stuff. Ah one last thing - get up from your sorry ass & cook.
This is a lie. McDonald’s NEVER raises prices unless wages also rise and Minimum Wage hasn’t risen in 50 years.

Still $16 here for a 40 peice nugget and 2 large fries at least.
Those nuggets reheat well

My man.
A bag of frozen chicken nuggets is like 7 dollars at Walmart, there are 50 nuggets in there. A 2 pound bag of fries is like 3 dollars.
It’s like 10 more nuggies and twice as many fries for a little more than half the price. At the cost of turning your oven on.

Let’s be real here. Sure McDonald’s is overpriced but grocery store chicken nuggets are a war crime.
