The reason why machine learning fails at creative writing is because as the name suggests, you need to have actual creativity. This cannot be copied by mixing and matching values and building tensor grids.
Only one who dreams can think of things to create, how else would they see them?

I’ve been handed a screenplay and it’s just episodes of the Office with the word “AI” scribbled into the margins a few thousand times.
