Unions aren’t where workers get their power from, they get their power by providing labor, and threatening to withhold that labor. If 35,000 workers suddenly didn’t show up to work, or showed up and didn’t do anything, the entire system would collapse immediately.
The union is simply a convenience for negotiation.
Weird how the current president sat down with a billionaire named Elon Musk a few weeks before the election for a streamed discussion and they spent time talking about how they hate unions and worker rights and then a bunch of workers went out and voted for them and now this is happening.
Such a weird, totally unexpected thing.
Goddamn, Americans are dumb.

A cynic might say that this is gearing up to remove any prison workers who would be against torturing brown and trans people because they haven’t been productive enough for Unilever or similar. Good thing that won’t happen!

First they came for the trade unionists, for they are organized and used to working together to oppose capitalists and therefore are a threat to fascists.
