It is, but at the same time the lines on the map being slightly thicker doesn’t really do a lot for Gaza.
It’s still going to be bombed to dust and bulldozed into the sea.

Recognition means things like you don’t need to ask Israel to enter Palestinian territory.

It’s easier to condemn one country attacking another country’s territory than a country carrying out attacks on it’s own. Basically, it turns the Gaza crisis from a domestic issue to an international issue.
