That being said, I’ll answer your question. Does your car have an audio jack? If so use that with the iPod.

3mm male-to-male audio cable
It doesn’t have an audio jack
Ugh this is such an annoying trend. I ran into the same issue with my friend’s newer car. I couldn’t plug in my mp3 player. Fuck these piece of shit manufacturers who can’t even be bothered to include an audio jack. And fuck 99.99% of people who just stream ass quality audio through spotify over bluetooth. I’m sure there’s some hacky device/converter you can find that will convert the audio out to bluebooth or something.
Recently I’ve seen so many posts that asolutely don’t belong here. I’m wondering where they all come from.
I don’t know about iPods specifically, but Bluetooth transmitters (that connect to 3.5mm audio jack) are cheap.
Or if you’re willing, you could surgically mod your iPod.
AUX?
Does your car have an aux port? If so, get a 3mm male-to-male audio cable and plug one end in the iPod and the other in the aux port.
I have one. I installed Rockbox on it so it can be used like a USB drive. I have no idea if my car will talk to it over the iPod Accessory Protocol. I never tried.

It has wired audio out, right? You can get earphone-to-bluetooth adapters and connect the car that way. They also make devices that transmit over FM frequencies short distances so you can tune in to your iPod.

I think I still have one of those in a drawer, in case I ever need it.

I’ve used this kind of short-range FM receiver in an older car to get Bluetooth capability. Just set it to some available frequency and save the channel as “AUX” or something, then you can switch from the radio to Bluetooth by just switching to that channel. Works like a charm.
