Is there any alternative service that does DVD or Bluray like this? Really want to try this out.
I think Redbox is probably the closest thing there is to what DVD.com used to be

No one wants physical media these days.

You got any stats to back that up, amigo? 🤔
YoBuckStopsHere@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Steady decrease of 19% year after year.
We know those who are not online are exceptions but that isn’t a viable market to sustain sales.

Try selling your old DVDs and see what you cam get for them. Even Blu-rays have lost most of their value as well

points to the article the thread is discussing
Well, Netflix is saying they don’t want 'em right there!

I don't have internet at my house because the crap that's offered way out in the country isn't worth the money--I was devastated when Netflix decided to end the DVD program because that's how I see all new movies. I was hoping that there would be an opportunity to get the retired disks

This doesn’t prove anything. Disney does this because of all the Disney collectors. You won’t be seeing Netflix releasing Blurays of their shows.

Except vinyl records and for some weirdos cassette tapes

I prefer non digital music, it sounds better. Non digital TV shows and movies are not better most of the time.
