I have fextralife black listed. I don’t know what their game is but it feels fake. Long winded introductions with little substance and recently ai slop.

Those game wikis are basically the only ones I use an adblocker on. They’re basically unusable on mobile.

It looks like you’re looking up a wiki page for items. My experience is that usually – with the exception of a very few games that set their own up – the best game wiki is on fandom.com.

It looks like there’s one on fandom.com.

Fandom is garbage and if you make the mistake of using in on mobile is borderline unusable because of ads.
Here’s an extension to find wikis and avoid fextra/fandom garbage. getindie.wiki

Literally half my phone screen is an ad over the main content. Fandom is indeed garbage.

It doesn’t appear to list any Elden Ring wiki. Does it have one?

Some wikis are independent or in a wiki farm that allows a high degree of customization like mirahaze and skywiki.

If you haven’t been using an adblocker since the early 2000’s, but actually remember what it was like back then… Why?

Haha, I would never do that to myself. I just get a quick glimpse of the bare 'net when I try the web browser built into Steam. My DNS is mostly filtering telemetry right now, while I leave the bulk of the blocking to uBlock Origin.

The only reason the Fextralife wiki exists is because they use it to inflate their twitch channel viewercounts and channel metrics for sponsors with the embedded stream on every page(Unless twitch finally fixed this loophole). The entire business model of Fextralife is literally farming ad revenue so this doesn’t surprise me in the least.
