Hello, I have a problem with a refund from Microsoft. On December 14, 2024, I purchased Robux through the Roblox app, which goes through the Microsoft Store. The Robux was not added to my account, so I contacted Microsoft support, who redirected me to Roblox support. Roblox support said there have been issues with Microsoft lately and advised me to request a refund. Since this took some time, I requested a refund on December 24 and received an instant cancellation. I complained the same day, and only today, January 16, I received a response that my refund request was past the deadline, and that’s it. In the end, I received neither a refund nor the Robux. I know it’s only 12 euros, but since it’s Microsoft, I want to annoy them. Does anyone have experience with this?
Buy on credit card? Initiate a dispute on the transaction with the credit card company. Reason is “Goods not received”, have Roblox account screenshot showing history of debits/credits, purchase receipt, and email correspondence saved as evidence, attach it if requested. Usually you’ll get your momey back without much hassle.
Buy on debit card? Contact your bank and start a similar process but it will be more difficult. Microsoft gift card? Register a complaint with your consumer financial protection organization, depending on your country.

I dont but you should look up digital market laws in your area. In most places you cannot be charged for unrendered services or goods.

Yea this isnt legal if you never got the product. That would be a scam.
If you’re in the US I’m sure the BBB and or FTC as well as your attorney general would love to hear all about how they never gave money back for a product you never got.

I live in the EU, and I actually think there is a website where I can file complaints about such cases, but I don’t know if it makes sense.

BBB is not a govt organization and has no legal authority whatsoever. They are yelp with a legitamite-sounding name.
