Rise of Skywalker was the last Star Wars property I’ll ever watch. I haven’t even watched the originals ever since then.
Others are free to feel differently, but Disney killed Star Wars. I’m not even angry, I don’t feel anything about Star Wars anymore, aside from apathy.

The fact that they feel handcuffed at all is the issue I have with the entire Disney Star Wars run. If these were being made out of a sense of love and passion for the Star Wars universe, the lore would serve as a rich well of inspiration to draw from. It’s only a problem because these are all soulless cashgrabs designed to make money first and be Star Wars second.

Disney purchased a brand name and that’s it. Star Wars is now whatever they want it to be, as depressing as it is. But let’s not pretend they ever intended to treat it with respect. No, they wanted to slap the Star Wars logo on some shitty merch and only make the films because they have to keep the brand name relevant.
