Will it be free shipping since it’s over $35? And will they honor 30-day returns?

Love that 30 day warranty

You wouldn’t download a car.

You bet I would…except when I have to pay for it.
lemmyng@lemmy.ca 1 month ago
Are they going to be binning those too?

Fear not—there’s no one-click option, so no one should be in any danger of absent-mindedly buying a brand-new Palisade.
Well that’s reassuring. I was getting worried. I honestly hate when that happens.

lol, I looked at the cheapest Ioniq 5 in my area on Amazon and at the dealer’s website. $8500 cheaper directly from the dealer since they offer $7500 off for using their preferred lender. $1000 cheaper if you don’t use their lender
superkret@feddit.org 1 month ago
Yes, but do you actually get that cheaper price when you walk into the dealership? Or is that just the bait they dangle in front of you to get you there so they can play their pricing games with you?
Vodulas@beehaw.org 1 month ago
Hard to say without going in, but the list price is still $1000 less.

How “big” is this news in the US? Non-US lemmy here.

This is the first I’m hearing about it. I don’t know why anyone would be excited about this.

Does this mean I won’t need to go to a dealership, play games to get a fair price, have the dealer’s branding permanently affixed to my car, and be constantly hounded by the dealership to buy more things from them?
But if it means the car is going to come with mandatory Alexa I’m out.

They will probably ship each one in a giant container-shaped box.

The list of cities where this is available simply reaffirms the AP’s take on dateline cities. It’s a useful list for geography buffs but incompetent at suggesting the scale of operations for anyone else.
Vodulas@beehaw.org 1 month ago
I would be very surprised if that is why Amazon chose those cities. Having worked there, they would have pulled demographic data to see how many new cars are sold each year and released in the highest volume cities with dealers willing to work with them.

Just wait until you see cars from “brands” like Tisosh, Frauej, and ZXCVBNM
averyminya@beehaw.org 1 month ago
Or even worse yet, Chrysler.
