Doesn’t he realize Trump was the “Russian candidate”?

This reads like a middle school essay in English. They actually sent it out like this?? Baffling.

I mean, to be fair, it’s not the local language.

It’s still something that should be proofread. This just seems so unprofessional.

What’s the issue here? The more normal candidate is writing a letter saying she had nothing to do with the election funny business and heading off potential demonisation by the one person everyone in the Western world is afraid of.

What in the tariffs has Trump said that makes this woman think he’ll do anything to help anyone but himself?

She seems to be playing politics. Kissing his ass may be extremely distasteful and embarrassing, but it’s also a prudent move when his foreign policy is based so heavily on his own personal feelings towards another country’s leader. It’s the hand she’s dealt, so I don’t blame her for playing it this way.
It’s a big if, but if she actually is seeking American support against encroaching Russian influence for the sake of her citizens, then I respect the decision and would offer her a bottle of mouthwash to maybe get the taste of Trump’s ass out of her mouth. I cannot imagine that tasted good.

They were two bonkers choices, but I don’t see what cancelling the election is going to achieve.
It’s going to give people the idea that it’s a stitch-up and make them mistrust elections in future. Why bother voting if they’re just going to cancel the result anyway?

LOL.
The obsession with Soros is hilarious.
As if these far right people aren’t funded by billionaires with deep pockets.
spankmonkey@lemmy.world 1 month ago
Fuck, if we took Trump at his word they put a billionaire in the white house. Republicans are openly courting billionaires for cabinet positions.
But one antisemitic rumor about Soros means the Dems are secretly in billionaire pockets, because reality doesn’t matter.

Until you realize that it’s not about Soros. He’s just their shorthand for “those evil Jews that secretly control everything”
When she says “I’m not the Soros candidate”, what she’s actually saying is “don’t worry, I hate and distrust Jews too”.
