  Title context:

  Chile won the semis in the FIFA Confederations Cup back in 2017. A guy celebrating on the street, most certainly under the influence, said to a news reporter: “We are the best country of Chile” instead of ‘the world’. It’s still an ongoing meme.

    Petition to keep Chile in place because I need my semi-cheap booze and if they’re moved as a bridge between Spain and Canada I’ll need to pay more for that booze.

      Joining Chile to Spain would probably cause a disaster in the sales of La Rioja wines. I get your point. Chilean wines are amazing. And they make more than cheap wine, they make good wine too.

  Played around with Chile on Google Maps. Fascinating geography! I’d love to get in there and camp for a month, but it’s damned lonely looking in most places. From the driest place on Earth to jungles, wild place.

    The southern archipelago looks like a Minecraft biome. Completely void of people and with just island after island it appears as if it would be fun to explore. It’s probably too cold to enjoy though.
