I once had a chemistry professor who would collect samples of like dirt and other things whenever he went to places remote enough he figured other chemists hadn’t studied because he thought you just never know when you’re going to run across a new compound.
Microbiology: One of the few professions where you wash your hands before you go to the bathroom.
You just can’t see all the tumors under the lab coat for the chemist.
During undergrad I had to schedule my microbiology and pathology classes during lunch hour. Worst two semesters of my life.
