Today is World Rainforest Day!
A small amount of gardening has been achieved, cutting back the beans and other dead summer plants and putting away the support stakes. Things look a bit tidier out there now.
I have also achieved mixing & packaging a new batch of dog food and a bit of general tidying up.
Rudely awoken this morning by neighbour cutting tiles on their front lawn. Seriously canât they give it a rest with the renovations on a Saturday? I really wanted a sleep in.
Still managed a gym session but I had shower scrubbing on the cards today and need to motivate myself to do it.

After I got the weird Manscaped popup on Dominoâs last night, I left them feedback when they asked. I thought this feedback would go to corporate, so I wasnât particularly nice when I left it. Apparently it went to the store manager. Oof
I wasnât super rude about it, like not abusive or anything like that, but ruder than I ever would be to any of the store people, even if it was their doing (which it isnât)
I know objectively itâs not warm and yet it doesnât feel that cold? And my windows didnât fog up like nobodies business cooking either.
Its also the winter solstice (or as close as), ans as such, thereâs a Solstice celebration event thing going on at CERES, if anyone wants to pop in and have a peek. Doesnât seem to be all that much, though.
Would also not recommend buying food there. Had a peek at the prices, and theyâre corked ($9 for a small box of chips?!), even before any likely surcharge.
On the bright side, the cold weather seems to have let up some today, which is nice. Weâve had more than our fair share of chills for the past day or two.
