Um, ackshually it isnât mansplaining if I donât identify as a man. Ah ha!
Nah all jokes aside, If itâs unopened, go at it! Pate was made so it would last longer than itâs ingredients by themselves.
If itâs opened then forgeddabowtit

Question: Would you eat pate that is one week (use by) out of date?
CAUTION: DO NOT mansplain the difference between use by and best before or I will be forced to severely downvote you.

Still sealed from the shops, yep. Open a week or homemade and itâs a dog treat.
It was unopened
No hesitation.
Agreed
Yes. If I trusted the purchase point to store it correctly before purchase. I know my fridge keeps itâs cool properly, but swoopermarkets are another thing again. The whole point of pate is to put a highly perishable food into a format that does keep a bit longer. Refer liverwurst. And potted shrimp. And tarasamalata (I think Iâve spelled that understandably, if not correctly).
tarasamalata
Thatâs the first Iâve ever heard of it seem that word I think. The food itself looks way up my alley đ
Aldi make a nice one. The smoked one is shit but the plain one is good. A good deli also make it.
Yummy. The Aldi one is good, the Piedmonteâs one is fantabulous.
Not sure. Maybe one or two days at the most as long as texture, taste and smell was ok.
Pate? No.
I probably wouldnât.

Iâll bite.
Best before was when I was in my 20âs.
Used by was probably before that.
