Because theres a lot of neo-nazis in college advocating for the death of 7 million jews?
Comment on Anon ends racism

Engagement and learning usually do end racism yeah, that’s pretty much how it works. Why do you think conservatives are so against things like college and inclusiveness? They don’t like melting pots.

Show me.
And don’t just link to protests.
Show me the one who states their mission statement as “kill seven million jews”.
Otherwise isn’t this a strawman?Let me guess, “from the river to the sea Palestine will be free”? If “I want to be free” translates to “I will kill the Jews” then you are intentionally misconstruing to cling to ideas you must know are invalid.
Step one, listen to the words people say. Stop deciding on their meaning independently and ask, “What do you mean by that?”
Am I wrong? I remain open to anything you will show.

Zionists don’t deserve to live.
Be grateful that I’m not just going out and murdering Zionists.
(Source)
From one of the leaders of the protest at Columbia, who also led around 200 protesters to surround 3 Jews who came to the site and led them to chant “expel the Zionists” (video of the incident in the article).
This is also just what’s publicly reported on, not including Israeli news sources who often report on other incidents that don’t make it to reputable American media, nor including personal incidents that I and my family and friends have been subjected to.

You make a good point. Now, of course we should apply that same way of thought to those who speak of Palestinians? We get a new quote each week coming from top positions in the Israeli government.
An Israeli lawmaker from the ruling right-wing Likud Party on Wednesday offered fresh evidence that the Israeli government’s aim in its bombardment of Gaza is a genocidal effort to kill or forcibly remove the more than 2 million Palestinians living there, declaring, “Gaza should be erased.”
Tell me, of those you and I just mentioned, which have more power in the situation?
Or should we perhaps not cherry pick quotes? Which would you prefer? Both seem to go against Israel.
Let’s change focus.
Perhaps instead we could go by death count? 30,000 Palestinians dead (which is presumed an undercount by major authorities) since October 7th, 75% being women and children. Can you please tell me how many Israelis have we lost in that time?
Reply in your own time.

From the river to the sea literally means destroying Israel. Gaza is 99% Sunni Muslim, wtf do you think happens to minorities there?
stembolts@programming.dev 7 months ago
How does “Palestine will be free” equate to destroying Israel? The land that Israel stands on has been a multi-ethnic state for millenia leading up to 1947 when colonial forces said, “This is not Palestine anymore, this is Israel.”
There are two extremes.
- Israel maintains permanent open air prisons of Palestinians.
- Israel burns to the ground.
If you cannot see that there is a massive gulf of compromise between 1 and 2, containing infinite solutions outside of your binary, then you’re being intentionally obtuse and playing into Israel’s self victimization complex.

I don’t think anyone’s advocating for anyone’s death I think that’s the point they’re advocating for no death.
If advocating to stop a wall makes you a Nazi them I’m sorry, but I’m a Nazi. Although that doesn’t really gel with their whole ethos they have historically demonstrated, so I am suspicious.

See my comment: sh.itjust.works/comment/11441248. Yes, people (protest organizers) are advocating publicly for the death of Israelis.
If someone in Nazi Germany said “I’m just participating in Nazi rallies because they’re making the country run better”, that still doesn’t absolve them of blame for amplifying Nazi voices. Same for these protests - if you participate in these protests, you’re responsible for choosing to participate in a call for violence and amplifying their voices.

Brother we’ve got South Asian renting appartments to their own race in several of the cities in my country and creating gangs to steal cars. Yeah I don’t like your melting pot thing
IndiBrony@lemmy.world 7 months ago
Then when confronted they’ll insist that they’re not racist, that they’re a melting pot of friendship whilst using the classic line: “Some of my best friends happen to be black!”
