There are so many flaws with this line of thinking which should be obvious to you, yet are not. I urge you to consider thinking this thought. Follow it to an actionable conclusion, then see how you feel about that conclusion. It may take you a few years so I wish you well on your journey.

{I am mega sleepy so I’ll do some clean up edits on this tomorrow probably when my brain is working properly}
Tbh you never came off as ignorant, you seemed genuine and curious otherwise I would not have engaged. We are all ignorant of many things, it’s just a matter of how willing we are to fill that ignorance and how we react to discovering that ignorance.
Responding to another comment you made here.
I don’t really understand the emotional replies online either, everyone seems to be out to hurt others and I don’t understand it. It is so predictably vitriolic that I think that most of the rage is just bots arguing with bots to create the illusion of discord. Just a ‘hopeful’ conspiracy theory of mine… surely people aren’t so mean? - Comment on Puberty blockers to be banned indefinitely for under-18s across UK 1 week ago:

To restate the initial point being discussed, “Humans are sometimes neither male nor female.” Please feel free to correct the initial point if you feel that I have misspoken here.
Your comment seems to be agreeing with us while you are simultaneously unaware that you are agreeing with us. Something being an anomaly confirms that it exists. The normalcy or abnormalcy having no bearing on existence, which is the target here.
No one is arguing that being born between genders is ‘normal’ or ‘common’, so what exactly are you stating?

I understand your sentiment and I dont want to come off as just “transbasher” […]
- You seem to be genuinely open-minded, which is good of course. So as you have been generous of thought, I will be with you as well.
[…] because i have close both male and female friends who after college decided they wanted to transition.I don’t agree with their thought process but I don’t tell them or put them down for their choice because it’s their choice as an adult.
- The concept of agreeing or disagreeing with someone’s lifestyle is foreign to me, so I cannot comment on that. I do not view myself as a judge to voice an opinion on any person’s lifestyle.
On the subject of intersex births, I find the 1 in 1700 to be very generous. Having a mother who has worked labor and delivery for the past 30 years in a large hospital, she has only ever had 2 instances where the baby was born intersex. And that’s out of tens of thousands of deliveries.
- You must realize that you are taking two missteps of reason here.
The first is anecdotal thinking by placing personal experience above targeted and broad research, the world is a complex place and while I have no doubt that your mother presents this information in earnest, it remains an anecdote.
The second is hearsay, you are not only using anecdotal information, but second-hand anecdotal information.
In my view, one of these errors alone would be enough to disqualify the validity of your point, and together, well…
I have no doubt that you are an intelligent person and I hope you can see my concern here, would it not bolster your views to step away from anecdote?
In those fringe cases I think sure we can allow those to be allowed to transition because there is a biological reason evident from birth.
- I agree.
But if you just have a hormone imbalance that doesn’t mean you need to block the natural course of growth to see “what you’d prefer”. Just let the body do it’s thing and when it’s done developing then mess around with it.
- I disagree, I cannot imagine the pain that transgender folks experience because I am not gender disphoric, but I do
- Comment on Puberty blockers to be banned indefinitely for under-18s across UK 1 week ago:
Do you also feel this way about children born intersex?
Currently, the population that undergoes the most gender reassignment surgeries is babies. A sexual organ is removed or re-shaped without consent at birth. Gender reassignment from intersex to male or female.
- Comment on Puberty blockers to be banned indefinitely for under-18s across UK 1 week ago:
1 in 1,700 people are born with both sexual organs.
If extrapolated to the population of the United States that is 10% of the population of Nebraska that cannot be defined in this manner.

True, and it upsets me because we can’t even get a baseline agreement from the masses to correct systemic inequality.
…yet, simultaneously we’re investing academic effort into correcting symptoms spawned by the problem (that many believe doesn’t exist).
To put this another way. Imagine you’re a car mechanic, someone brings you a 1980s vehicle, you diagnose that it is low on oil, and in response the customer says, “Oil isn’t real.” That’s an impasse, conversation not found, user too dumb to continue.
I suppose to wrap up my whole message in one closing statement : people who deny systematic inequality are braindead and for whatever reason, they were on my mind while reading this article.
I’ll be curious what they find out.

All I can see when I read this comment is a plaque to blind confidence. Don’t take it the wrong way, I don’t mean it as a wholly a bad thing… maybe 90% bad, 10% admiration. Confidence is powerful, but it works best when paired with other traits.
…but back to the thread, unless you’re involved in this topic at an academic level, can you explain the reasoning behind the confidence you appear to have in your perspective?

Yeah! I want to live a lifetime of suffering and pain so that no illegals get shelter and no children get food! Disgusting! Republican Jesus woulda shot those immigrants and fed those kids to the lions.
Don’t tell me about no Bible, I haven’t read a book since I was 7 and I ain’t about to start now. Fox News is the one source of truth!
Immigrants are the enemy! Billionaires are friends. Just like it says on the TV channel that the billionaire owns! It has to be true! I’m stupid btw.

For similar series, I recommend Burnout and Flatout. See my comment in this thread for elaboration.
Career wise I think Burnout is the most fun because you have to go around the city finding hidden jumps, hunting cars roaming the city (when you catch them (by crazhing them, of course) you get to drive them), and beating time trials that create unique opportunities to fly through the air and blast through traffic, ideally crashing your opponents into them… anyway, I love the genre, hope you find your game!
- Comment on Wreckfest 2 officially announced at THQ Nordic showcase 4 months ago:
I adore this game. If you are like me and would like another game in this genre, try “Flatout Ultimate Carnage Collectors Edition”, personally I find the crashing (as well as the racing) in FUCCE to be more satisfying but both games are a must have for fans of the genre.

Sometimes I think about the perspective of my 80 year old neighbors. Every day could be their last. I suppose the world would be a better place if everyone of all ages realized how fragile and fleeting this life is.

- Comment on Non-binary 6 months ago:
I’m going to use “you” a lot in this post but know I’m using the global definition, I’m not directly addressing you.
Right, but you must realize that is your perception and not reality.
If you’ll allow me to take some liberties and use you as an example :
They are asking you to change your perception of them.
You are asking them to change/disregard their reality to conform to your existing perception. One can be done, one cannot. They’ll still be what they are and now their way of defining themselves is forbidden, by who? Why? This path seems completely irrational.
And what value does your perception hold anyway? The meaning of every word, sound, and thought in your head is arbitrary, it’s all made up. So obviously language needs to be calibrated with reality from time to time.
Language has changed to such an extreme degree that you wouldn’t understand your own language 300, 1,000, 5,000 years ago. Why not be upset about that? Seems kinda silly to start a movement to rollback english to 1724, eh?
That is how I feel about those who oppose groups of people seeking to better define themselves. “I don’t feel what they describe, they’ve organized millions of people who claim to feel the same way to fuck with me, I’m mad!”
TLDR, it’s logical for language to change and people to carve out niches. Humans aren’t born male and female only, so it seems silly to puritanically declare that because of an ancient understanding of humans, we should ignore modern biology.
- Comment on Report: Since 2020, almost two-thirds of all new wealth went to the top 1% 6 months ago:
It’s cool. I mean we’ve been historically fine in earnings. It’s not like there was a massive drop in compensation relative to productivity in the 1980s that continues to today. Wait, I suppose there was.
What is the value of 50 years of under-compensation for the vast majority of Americans? How many homes never purchased, vacations never taken, businesses never started? We can’t afford to do any of that. We barely exist.
But wait, record stock prices! Woo! Who needs money when the corporations poisoning us with PFAs and lobbying the government to destroy itself are earning more than ever! I mean we can’t afford stocks and 80+% of the market is owned by like 5% of the population, but that’s good! Good and fine!
I mean sure, people will become homeless, starve, resort to crime to eat, but we should rejoice that the billionaires are living their best lives.
Given their reluctance to release power, and the size of the imbalance, historically it seems like the lower classes would need to harm members of the CEO class to bring about change, but that is vile and uncivil and no one would want to do that. Plus you’d need a population with nothing to lose and nothing to work for, American workers are more incentivized and happier than ever.
Go rich people! Take more! And more! And more! And more! Never too much! Surely this impoverished house of cards will stand for millenia!
