TFW everyone takes your ironic comments as completely serious regardless of how much absurdity you pile on.

Which way is ironic? When he calls him a liar? Or when he hopes the kid is disabled? Or dies?
I’m kinda confused how cringe unhinged behavior is “ironic”. Either you are miss using the word or you expect to say it with such confidence we would wash right over it.
But I personally find this ironic humor moronic. It’s completely cringe for no good reason. It’s not funny. It’s not insightful. It’s not playful. It’s nothing but pathetic.

I think the idea is that he’s the opposite of his username. I don’t agree with the execution though, wouldn’t positivity as an opposite be more general negativity rather than outright hatred and odious behavior?

100% this. I was on Reddit for nearly 10 years and this “type” of joke is super common.
That said, it was taken too far imo.

Ironic as in the opposite of sincere, as opposed to in the sense of paradoxical incongruouity.

I don’t think this fits it. The irony should be consistent. And the statement is not. Therefore the irony is lost on the writer.
