If I was a bee I would.

Sounds like a toxic workplace culture to me… Not sure what you can do other than try to move companies though sorry…
- Comment on If you could use a Rube Goldberg like contraption on any task you find extremely strenuous, what would it be? 6 days ago:
To rephrase the question: what’s something simple and easy that you’d prefer the task or cost of maintaining and running an overly complex machine than actually doing it?

- Comment on Is there anything I can do about the humming of an LED? 2 weeks ago:
It looks like a florescent tube, not LED, but I guess it’s just a diffuser over LEDs?
Florescent tubes can definitely make noise though…
- Comment on What's the difference between ignorance and stupidity? 3 weeks ago:
It’s used interchangeably
- Comment on What's the difference between ignorance and stupidity? 3 weeks ago:
Ignorant is more specific, only applies when someone doesn’t know or doesn’t want to know something. That can be referred to as stupid, but stupid can also refer to any other kind of stupidity, such as struggling to work out a basic math or logic puzzle, or failing to follow basic instructions.
- Comment on What's the difference between ignorance and stupidity? 3 weeks ago:
Ignorance can be used to refer to both cases.
- Comment on Is there a reason why bullets aren't squared? Glock's are squared on the outside but shoot round bullets. Why not square, was it ever tested? Not talking about all guns just usually handhelds. 4 weeks ago:
It would need to be a square extruded helix too…
- Comment on Is a black hole spherical? How come it looks different each way you view it like on it's side or up and down? 4 weeks ago:
Would the shape of the accretion disk also affect the shape of the black hole?
- Comment on What does "Woke" mean to you? 4 weeks ago:
Depends on the context: When used positively it means being aware of social injustice or having empathy for your out group.
When used negatively it means anything/anyone they don’t like, and they mostly don’t like people who are a different color skin, gender, ablement, or sexual orientation to themselves.

- Comment on The way my partner eats avocado. 5 weeks ago:
If your knife is sharp it can be easier to slice it into quarters with the skin on, then slice the insides as normal, and then you can just pinch the ends and invert the skin and the slices pop right out. No scooping necessary.

But if you give everyone a free trial you’ll have millions in “recurring revenue”, which you can tell your shareholders and inflate your share price.

I think it’s called fast boot. Hibernation is slightly different.
- Comment on Is using an ssd as a cache to speed up a harddrive still a thing? 1 month ago:
I think it just swaps it on shutdown and boot.
- Comment on Is using an ssd as a cache to speed up a harddrive still a thing? 1 month ago:
I think it saves and loads the ram cache on the disk too, or maybe I’m thinking of a different feature…
- Comment on Is using an ssd as a cache to speed up a harddrive still a thing? 1 month ago:
I believe windows 11 is kinda meant to do this automatically now, which is partly why it uses so much ram when you haven’t even launched anything yet…
It seems quite bad at it however.
This tool is meant to help diagnose issues with it, but I’ve not been able to try it, as the windows 11 machine I use is pwnd by my IT department and their antivirus blocks it from running 😅:
