What a fascinating issue! No, I have no idea whatâs going on, here. Itâs clearly some sort of federation bug. The pin request is federating, but the unpin is not.
Iâve checked six other lemmy instances, they all have extra Melbourne Daily threads pinned. They each agree that
Should all be pinned. I donât know what November and December 26 have in common, I wonder whether theyâre Lemmy version upgrade dates? There was one at Christmas time, Iâll have to double-check the exact date.
Beyond those dates, five of the six instances had random dates pinned (though two of them had 01 Jul 2023) still.
This isnât affecting aussie.zone users.

Upgrade dates might make sense, or itâs a left over when aussie.zone was having a few synchronisation problems with servers that werenât on 0.18 at the time.
