That’s half a carton (5 packs) a day some days. Even the most dedicated smokers I know only do about 2 packs a day. (I don’t smoke, but I used to sell them.)

I think you know exactly why they hired her 🍑
But how is it feasable to smoke 80 cigarettes per day! A cigarette takes like 10 minutes to smoke if you don’t huff like a dragon. 80 cig x10 min = 800 min = ~13 hour smoking per day. You would not be able to keep any kind of job with a smoking schedule like that… Except maybe onlyfans…

I used to smoke. I can’t imagine trying to pay for that many cigarettes every single day.

Try buying smokes somewhere like Italy or Spain, 3 quid a box

I think my preferred brand is up to almost $8/pack right now.

I had a roommate in college whose mom would smoke 2-3 packs a day. She’d light a new one off of the dying ember of the last one. Chain smoker.

It’s way cheaper if you only have to use one match a day.

If you are hitting 2 cigs at once it becomes a much more feasible goal

Back in the old days (hangs onion from belt) we could smoke in the office. I knew a 3 pack a day smoker - Canada so 25 to a pack. The only way he could manage to do it is that he always had one in his hand. If he didn’t, he lit another one. That meant that he’d often put one down to do something, forget about it in the ashtray, and light another. I occasionally saw him with 3 going at once.

Sadly, I find this extraordinarily based

This was extraordinarily common. It’s good that it’s slowly getting behind us (speaking as an ex smoker, thanks to ecigs, I never would have managed without that).
I think the “people born after this date cannot buy cigarettes” laws are a good system, but it seems that the lobbyists are managing to kill most of those attempts.
