I used to work with someone who, mid-afternoon, would declare “ooOOooOo, I think it’s time for a ⨍ɑׁׅ֮ꪀׁׅᝯׁᨮ꫶ׁׅ֮ ᝯׁᨵׁׅ⨍⨍ꫀׁׅܻꫀׁׅܻ” and slink off to the kitchen. We had a Nespresso so I just assumed it was one of those but, no, what she did was this:

• Mug of full-cream milk with several teaspoons of Coffee Mate added
• Microwave until steaming/bubbling
• Mix in three or four Canderel
• Mix in a teaspoon of Nescafé instant coffee
• Vanilla syrup
• Add a couple of coffee granules on the surface where they can dissolve to make a pattern because “that’s what they do at Starbucks”.

So, yeah, these people walk amongst us.
