There’s probably some rules lawyer bullshit that the courts are pulling to assert that the sea has already overwhelmed the land. Probably some climate change shit (sea levels will raise to this level now, and ‘the land’ actually refers to a court appointed spot off the coast of Ireland, which will be under water within the century. Since it’s a done deal at this point, with no way to reverse course fast enough, the deal no longer holds)
Point being… the truce is over. Buckle up, buttercup.

I refuse to capitulate without proper information regarding the nature of the clause that voided the contract, and I invoke my rights as a signing member of the Unseelie Accords to accept binding third party arbitration in the courts of the Winter Fae!
We honoured our side of the pact! The requisite sheep, goats, and human sacrifices were paid, the Equinox Festivities always included offerings of fruit and wine, and the Solstices featured a metric shit-ton of REDACTED as per the agreement!
Just because the Forest Folk have discovered democracy and had a series of coup d’etats, that doesn’t void the contracts written in the blood of our ancestors and spilled upon the land.

Honestly, contract or not, that just means the forest folk don’t think this contract will benefit them any longer and that they now believe to be in a position of power to oppose you and your people. War is at your doorstep. You can whine about it or go smelt and cast some cold and pure iron already.
