I feel like the only companies who should have stuff out early like that are craft stores because people need time to craft things.

Sure, but it’s half a year away. The holiday was so much more fun when it was a special time of year when you started to see any of it. Christmas decorations weren’t sold until November when I was a kid. There’s zero reason to sell them in August except to ruin the holiday.

Costco is particularly infamous for this. They start putting out Halloween in July and Christmas in August. By September, Halloween is over and it’s all Christmas
