True, there's always a risk that you don't wake up from full sedation. For most surgery you'll also be out of the hospital quicker if you take the epidural.

Doesn’t that have like a pretty damn high chance of long term back pain? Because that’s what I’ve heard from my ex (who’s had it twice and claims it messed up her back, but also she just likes not working so she uses anything she can to get sick leave twice or thrice a month) as well as someone who was at the time studying to be a midwife (so a significantly more credible source).
