If you feel that you have been mistreated egregiously by moderators, you can always make your case in a polite and well-documented thread in !support@lemmy.world, and if egregious behaviour by mods is found, it will be addressed.

Just as an FYI, this comment has been reported as “weird fuckery that never happened”, which I, as Mod, agree with. However, I’m not going to remove it because the downvotes speak louder than your rhetoric, and I’m not one of “those” mods, whoever they may be. You don’t have to believe me and I’m not asking you to.
I’m sorry if you have been treated unfairly by someone else, somewhere else on Lemmy. Subs live or die by their userbase, which includes you, and includes me. As someone who was blocked unfairly by power tripping Mods on Reddit, I promise to not repeat that cycle of abuse. My promise may be meaningless to you, which is entirely fair, but my actions will hopefully prove over time that I’m not one of “those” Mods. Thank you, I just got banned from fuckai, even though I hate AI… For correcting people in saying that Facebook is not useless, evidenced by the fact that there are over a billion users.
I guess if every comment isn’t not jumping up and down on the let’s hate AI trampoline, you need to leave I guess.
Once again, I hate ai, but that’s not the point, a billion other people use Facebook and it’s therefore not useless. Too controversial an opinion for the clown mod.

All good! But for what it’s worth, Facebook is useless for people who don’t use / like it, and useful for those who do; but regardless of the utility of their products, they have an abhorrent human rights record, a delusional executive team, and fascist goals. Also, Zuckerberg doesn’t have enough money because he’ll never have enough money, putting him in the parasite class.
“Careless People” by Sarah Wynn Williams should be required reading for anyone interested in interacting with Meta’s products. I wouldn’t ever ban arguments or users in favour of Facebook’s utility; but I’d counter that even its regular users suffer harms by its use, even if they do keep coming back like gamblers to a slot machine, desperate for a dopamine fix.
