- Comment on Moderator abuse: Request for review and removal of Decoy321@lemmy.world 6 days ago:
if the besieging hordes picture does not refer to the common right wing trope of invading muslim hordes, it missed a damn good chance. your own choice of definition included “absurd, provocative, or offensive.” what, in your view, was the “absurd, provocative, or offensive” nature of the post if it wasnt the apparent racism?
you accuse the moderator of a habitual abuse of power, not just in your case, but offer no evidence of this further claim. why not?

It’s only in their interest if you assume their interest is in governance. If that is not their interest, if they are actually interested in maintaining the status quo so they can keep insider trading from congress, then it makes sense for them to fight against the rising tide of progress.

he won by 1 percentage point, not 20, and that was the primary, not the actual race, and we have never seen this guy actually govern. don’t celebrate before the victory.

- Comment on New level of capitalist hell unlocked: Companies are relying on AI to pinpoint exactly how desperate job seekers are in the hopes they can pay them as little as possible. 2 weeks ago:
It’s worse than that. Companies buy credit card data and their salary offer is inversely proportional to how much debt you have. More debt = more desperation = lower offer.
On a completely unrelated note, did you know USA hasn’t passed a consumer privacy protection law since 1988? That law protected consumers from people gathering their information while renting VHS tapes.

words have meanings. thats not what spontaneous means in this context. the definition of spontaneous in this context is independent of the nature of water. and i frankly don’t give a shit if you struggle with social norms. i care that the word has a meaning and you are abusing it.

not “infinitesimal time.” continuously. think of it like this: to continuously think up perky tits, it takes a human mind 12 watts- brain is a 12 watt computer. time interval is proportional to the number of titty images/length of titty video. and im psure an individual instance of titty ai doesn’t come out to 2.7 jigglewatts- im like 80% sure i can get a titty generator to run on my lil 50 watt phone. not testing that assumption today tho.

yeah i read it don’t interrobang at me like i pissed in your cereal.
it’s absurd that apparently the most compelling case to make against the existence of a Concentration Camp is a temporary injunction against new prisoners and construction on ecological grounds until the case can be brought before a supreme court that, i dunno about you, but i dont expect to be terribly sympathetic to the ecological argument quite frankly. and like, yeah the article does specify that they should dismantle the generators and stuff but like, uh… who’s enforcing that, exactly? i mean what’s stopping them from just, y’know. not complying. again. with another court order. about migrants. another one.
but like yeah for sure they got al capone on the tax evasion thing so sure if it sticks i guess. i’m already holding my breath in anticipation.
