As an adult, I can’t stand cake and refuse to eat it no matter whose birthday or wedding or whatever it is, and I don’t care who I piss off.

I can kind of get it when overly generous people bring in food and want everyone to eat and join in the good vibes. Some can be rather pushy. But definitely too extreme.
