I mean, it’s been here since day 1. It never went anywhere, and it probably never will. But it can be between down and drowned and muzzled, relegated to the background noise, at least for a time. And things can get better for that time.
Comment on In a healthy society Zohran Mamdani would be a centrist.

I literally don’t know how america can come back from the mentality of enjoying other human’s suffering. That doesn’t seem like a symptom that people ever really recover from, especially when reality seems to be rewarding them for it

Really don’t think so in the age of hyper-reality. It’s too insulating, touching grass doesn’t actually cure anyone’s racism or antisociality.

Not sure why everyone believes this is solely an American thing.
Most governments today are perfectly happy benefiting from overseas slave wages and exploitation. I’d argue America at least is the most racially conscious society. Everywhere has racists but God damn talking to some Europeans or Africans or South Americans reminds me how socially aware America is

Dude, America was literally built on human suffering.
Although at the time it was justified by claiming that the ones doing the suffering weren’t human because of their skin color or because they didn’t believe in the same imaginary friends.

We come back by getting rid of the right-wing propaganda web.
Everything from far-right internet/social media, Fox News and its bastard clones, talk radio. All of it needs to be scrubbed. Burn some sage in that fucking Fox News building before tearing it down.
I don’t think most of those people would be so awful if they weren’t propagandized to do so 24/7 like the North Koreans. I mean christ, Rush Limbaugh was teaching people to hate the Clintons’ teenaged kid daughter back in the 90s. They’ve been at this shit a long time.

Every other ad I see is for Jordan Peterson’s weird little propaganda university. I think it’s different from Praeger U, but I don’t watch long enough to know. People are signing up to pay their hard earned, vanishingly valuable dollars to watch right wing propaganda videos. They hunger for it.
